Zen had been after you ever since you joined the RFA. From casual flirting to boldly asking you out, Zen tried everything to get your attention. But nothing worked, you always rejected him.

The reason was because you had a travel job with a horrible schedule. You simply didn't see it as fair for the other person in the relationship. You really liked Zen, you wanted to date him too, but know one knew.

In a few weeks though, you were quiting your job and settling down in Korea, with the rest of the RFA. There was a party coming up, giving you the perfect opportunity to announce the news and confess to Zen. It was a smaller party, so the press would not be involved.

After unpacking the rest of your things into an apartment of your very own, you were exhausted. You decided to get some sleep so you'd be refreshed for tomorrow's party.

When you woke up, you got in the shower, thinking of how today would go. You stayed in there longer than you planned, you were just so nervous. Sure, he had been after you from the beginning, but doubts began to fill your mind.

What if he's tired of waiting? What if he decides he doesn't want a relationship anymore? What if he found someone prettier? You pushed these thoughts out of your head, you weren't going to get anywhere with them. You got dressed in a nice outfit and headed to the party.

Upon arriving, you saw that it was a smaller party, with only a few guests who were conversing with each other. You spotted the RFA at a table towards the back a started to head over there.

As you got closer, you saw a woman you didn't recognize. She was tall, and had long black hair and green eyes. You thought nothing of her, figuring she was just a guest introducing herself.

When you reached them, you hugged them each and shared some small talk. After hugging Zen he pulled back and put his arm around the woman you saw earlier. "(Y/n)! This is Samantha, my girlfriend."

With just a single word, your heart broke and you felt the color drain from your face. Your world was broken. Zen continued to talk, but you couldn't hear him. You felt like your head was underwater. You forced an unconvincing smile and nodded your head, wanting to get away as soon as possible.

After what felt like ages, he finally turned and started talking to Yoosung. You walked over to a table towards the center of the hall, and got yourself some water.

While your were calming yourself down, you noticed someone walk up beside you. You turned your head to see Jaehee. "Are you alright? I don't mean to be rude but, you're looking a bit ill," she said, her voice full of concern. "Yeah, I guess I'm still tired from yesterday's flight," you responded, hoping she was convinced. She seemed satisfied, as she walked away after wishing you well.

When she left, your thoughts went back to Zen and Samantha. You gathered the courage to look over at them, still at the table talking to Yoosung. You couldn't understand why Zen chose someone so... regular .You hated yourself for thinking this, but you couldn't stop yourself. However, when you saw him look at her, you painfully understood.

Even from across the room, you could easily see the love and adoration in his beautiful eyes. Your heart broke a little more each second you looked at them, but you couldn't look away. It was your own way of torturing yourself for this. After all, it was your fault. You could have prevented all of this, if you had just been honest.

You finally understood Zen's pain of being left behind.
