Chapter 5: Rival in Love

On Saturday morning we left to go to the lake house. Blaine had come to my house to pick me up, when my mother asked where his father was Blaine made up another excuse saying his father was already at the lake house. "Oh alright then be careful you two and don't get yourselves into trouble." my mom said shaking her finger at us with a smile. I could see my dad watching us from his bedroom window. Just staring at us. I could tell he didn't like the idea of me spending the day with a boy at some lake house in the middle of the woods. But he wasn't going to tell me no. I wanted this, yes I wanted some time with just Blaine and I. No other vampires, no parents, no problems, just me and him.

Saying that reminded me that it was because of me and him that Becca was now friends with the new vampires in my school. That thought almost made me get out of the car. But I didn't I couldn't let that stuff get in the way of today. Today was just about having fun and getting away from everything. "Okay bye mom I'll be back later." I said before rolling up the window. I watched her wave at us while we drove away.

"Hey you alright, with this?" Blaine asked.

"Ya I'm fine, I just don't know if this is a good idea." I reply. He took one hand off the steering wheel and put it on top on mine. I smiled and just laid back not wanting to talk about this anymore. When we got to the lake house I was in total aw of it. It was huge and beautiful. With amazing glass windows, and a cute little porch that had a swing on it and in the back was a beautiful crystal clear lake with a small peer with a boat tied to it. The lake was surrounded by a lush forest. The sky was a light blue with very light white clouds in it. This cabin looked like something from a resort or a magazine. "Oh my gosh! This, is incredible!" I exclaim. Now this is definitely the place I would love to spend the weekend or like the summer maybe. Its beautiful and it was just Blaine and me so it was perfect.

"Well I'm glad you think so." he replied with a light smile.

"But I have to know, why did you lie and say that your dad was going to be here?" I ask.

"Well I only lied a little, see my dad doesn't live here with me, my brother and a friend of his does, but I couldn't tell your mom that she would have thought I was taking you to a party or something." he answered laughing a little. Right there and then my dreams of it just being me and him went down the toilet. But on the plus side I guess I would get to meet his brother.

"Oh I see, ya she most likely wouldn't have let me come." I smile. We were about to get out of the car when I heard something crash down on the roof of the car in that instant my thought was vampire, another one jumped on the hood of the car and bore its fangs at me through my side of the windshield. I was scrambling in my seat and screaming. I look over at Blaine who's laughing at me. Instantly I calmed down panting a bit from the fright and also a bit anger.

"Okay you guys you got her now stop scaring her." he said smiling at me. "Hey you don't have to worry the girl on the hood is Brittany and the one on the roof is my brother Danny." he added. He could see the anger on my face he knew I didn't find this funny. He quit laughing, but I could see he was trying his hardest to hold back a smile. I got out and looked on top of the car where I saw a boy with long blonde hair wearing a jacket and a short sleeve shirt and some blue jeans. His eyes were a bright blue. Danny jumped down from the car and came up to me. "Sorry we just couldn't resist when we heard my brother had a human girl with him. Kayla right?" he said with a charming smile. He was pretty attractive maybe a little more so than Blaine. He had that cool guy look to him like one of those extremely hot guys that all the girls want to date and all the guys want to be.

"Yes that's my name and it fine its not like I would except anything less from you people." I say with a stern smile. I turned around to find the girl in my face. I jumped a little, she had fiery red hair. With blue eyes and pale skin that stood out against her red hair. She looked like a vampire I wouldn't want to mess with since I valued my existence. "Hi there Kayla." she said with a friendly smile that seemed to be plastered to her face, it didn't seem real, but I just brushed it off.
