You go to a host cafe with your friends just to check it out due to its rising popularity. Once there a registration lady offers a private room and a selection of hosts to serve you for the night, your friend notices your gaze on a particularly spaced out and cute host, so they ask for the strawberry blonde with amber-gold eyes.
Once that has been decided the woman asked of him to lead you towards the room, he merely bows with a nod then gestures for all to follow. He opens a door down the hall with various rooms full of laughter and small conversations, but it was all muffled- so it had this sense of privacy. All of you enter and he passes menus to each of you.
Your friend gets to curious of his silent behavior and tries to ask in a nice way. "I'm sorry if this sounds rude, but are you a mute?"
He seemed to break out of yet another daze and quickly shakes his head a bit red.
"N-no, I-I'm sorry if I gave the impression of such." His voice was gentle and seemed so distant. "I just don't converse as well as others." His tone was rather formal and he apologized once again, keeping his gaze elsewhere.
He offered for a host hop, but your friend quickly denied the offer.
