[Forewarning: Swearing Imminent]
[Edited: ✔️]~•~
After a long flight, and a long drive to their hotel, the Holloways find themselves in the lobby of a hotel. Vera had booked two rooms for them so Lex could have her own room. The girl at the counter gave them their room keycards and smiled a box smile. "Welcome to Paris. Have a wonderful stay." She said, her French accent was very prominent and thick, though it didn't drown out her English terribly. Vera smiled back at the girl and said a quick 'thanks' before the three of them went upstairs to their rooms.
"So, your room is 838. Right next to ours." Vera said, handing Lex her room keycard as they stepped out of the elevator. The bellboy has brought their things up while they fetched their keycards. Vera and Tony went inside their room and Lex went inside hers. She was exhausted. Especially since the time difference was big.
"Jet lag, you bitch. I hate you." Lex muttered as she laid down on the comfy bed, almost drowning in the comforter immediately. But, as much as she wanted to sleep, she couldn't. They had to go to the sanctuary in a few minutes. So, she made use of what little time she had left in the quiet, comfortable room and showered, changed, did her makeup, and mentally prepared herself for what was to come. There was a knock on her door as she sat in front of the mirror in her room. She stood and walked over, opening the door. "Yes?" She asked her mother.
"It's time." Vera simply said. Lex only nodded before she stepped out of the room and closed the door, the satisfying click of the lock ringing in her ears as it did. They made their way down and saw that her father was already downstairs. All three of them had showered and changed. All wearing black, too.
The drive to the sanctuary was filled with empty chatter. Most of the conversations consisted of questions about the Coven Mothers and what had possibly happened.
"Your Father got a call from Malcolm Ferguson. Apparently he was on his way to the sanctuary for a visit as usual, but when he got there, the whole place was a complete mess. I guess we'll see soon enough." Vera explained, eyes locked on the road ahead. Lex couldn't help but wonder if Regina were hurt, or worse. She shook the thought out of her head as the car neared the sanctuary.
The peaks of the rooftops could be seen peeking through the treetops. Covered in snow. But it didn't emanate the welcoming aura it usually did. This time, it was dark, and ominous. Something was lingering in the air as they reached the broken down gates of the estate and drove passed it and stopped in the driveway. The once beautiful gardens were burnt and ashen. Embers were still burning, only visible from the red glow it resonated. "Holy shit..." Lex muttered as she looked at the destruction that had been caused. "Who did all this?" The question was left hanging in the air as no one answered.
"Let's look around." Her Father said, looking around cautiously as he took out his gun from its holster under his blazer.
"Be careful." Vera informed the both of them.
Lex nodded and stalked off.
There was nothing left alive. Everything was black and burnt. Crumbling under her feet with every step she took. The air felt heavy and glum. There was a strange feeling she got as she walked the East Gardens. As if someone were watching her, but from where, she didn't know. Her guard was up and she had a spell incantation at the ready on the tip of her tongue, in case something unexpected pops up. Her hands clenched into fists, shaking slightly, as she looked around.
Her eyebrows were furrowed and eyes were narrowed as she observed her surroundings, taking in the destruction. Soon, she reached the end of the garden, where the greenhouse was located.
