-Micheal-

I was confused. What had she done that made her want me so urgently? I put on my leather jacket, still in my sweatpants and muscle tee. I took my iPhone, in case she called again to tell me to stay. She didn't. I took £20 out of my wallet and slipped it into my back pocket. As I opened the door a thrust of a late night draft tickled my face. I locked the door and began to jog to the nearest pizza takeaway. Dominos was the only one open at this time at night. I opened the door, feeling awkward to be the only person who had come in for hours.

"May I take your order?" The pizza girl said tiredly

"Oh urm, yeah," I stutter nervously "I only have 5 minutes, would it be possible?"

"I can try." She muttered sarcastically.

"One large mozzarella pizza with all the meat you have." I blurted out.

She eyed me up and down. She probably thought I was mad ordering such a pizza at so late at night.

"Anything else?" She grunted

"Garlic bread!" I replied anxiously

"Take a seat."

They got to work. It seemed like forever, I was eager to see her. I sat really awkwardly in the seat, they must of thought I was troubled.

"That'll be £20.65" she announced after 7 minutes.

"I only have £20 damn it!" I grunt.

She glared at me before rolling her eyes and breathing outwards heavily.

"Tell you what kid. I said that I'd have your pizza ready in 5 minutes and it's been 7, I'll let you off for the 65p." She groaned

"Thank you so much!" I blurt taking my order and leaving.

It's colder out now, it's been 10 minuets since I left my apartment. I legged it to Akarshanas, the pizza clenched between my frozen fingertips. I get to her flat and knock loudly on the door. There are whimpers from the inside, the sound of a heart tearing apart. The door was neatly polished and the handle was unlocked. I force my way in.

Behind the door is shattered glass, blood and puddles of alcohol. The smells stab my nostrils one by one. I look around desperate to find Akarshana . She's crawled up in the corner, her wrists are bleeding lies painted scarlet. I'm horrified at what has happened. I must act cool you know? Like one of those movies I used to watch. I sat beside her and cradled her fragile soul in my arms. She stopped crying and held me tight. It was one of those desperate hugs that were in need of attendance, she had broken.

"Micheal, I'm so glad you're hear!" She whispered into my shoulder.

"What happened?" I ask quietly.

"I can't even begin properly" she sobbed.

And with that, I held her close to my chest. I could feel her kind throbbing beneath her temples as I squeezed her lightly.

"Don't worry," I whispered "I'm here now."
