"Dad," I yelled, as it echoed back to me in the mansion. "Where's my Ferrari's pull-back roof?!"

"Luke, please don't tell me your going out in this horrible weather?" Replied Dad, coming down the amazing glass staircase.

"I have to," I said, groaning. "Diane has lost her necklace. I have to go buy her a new one."

Now you see, Diane is my fiancé. We met in College, just friends at first, but then rumours kept spreading saying that we're engaged! I have no idea where they got that from. We weren't even dating, for God's sakes! There is also a party me & my brother, James, threw just when our parents left for something to do with my Dad's law firm. Me, James, Diane and all our other friends got really drunk, and apparently i proposed in some sort of inappropriate way, not getting into the details i've been told.. But the thing is, i'd never do something like that. Even if i was drunk, but my brother would. And my brother acts really awkward around Diane since that night... Maybe he done something stupid, too. Eh, whatever.

"Oh, well that's great, son!" Said Dad, giggling away like a little girl. "Be proud to do this for your fiancé! And my soon to be daughter-in-law!"

"You'd think.." I moaned, following my Dad down to the massive basement to get my roof.

"Ahhh!! Here you go," Said Dad, lifting it out of a box handing it to me. "Careful, Lucas."

"I got it," I said, struggling alittle before i got my grip. "Thanks, Dad."

"Your welcome, son." Replied Dad.

It was pouring down a rain outside, and as i stepped out, i was immediately soaked! I groaned, thinking i had to take another shower now.. I put the roof on and jumped in the car and sped out the driveway. I parked up the car and threw my jacket on my head running in Pandôra. Outside of the shop, i think i just saw the most beautifulest girl in the world, she seemed familiar and was getting wet so i said hi and put my jacket around her.

"Oh, thanks." The girl said, blushing and looking away. "Um, who are you?"

"Uh, i think i know you from 10th grade, you know, Tree Hill School?" I said.

"Oh yeah! Lucaaas!" She said stretching her words, hugging me tight.

"Heh." I whispered, hugging her too.  "Um, so what's your name again?" I said, embarrassed. "Sorry."

"Nah! Its okay." She said, smiling under the jacket. "Its Alyssa Kayla Sawyer. But most people call me Kay."

She is truly the most beautiful girl i've ever seen.. Blonde short curly hair up to her shoulder, not sure if its naturally curly, or she just curls it herself. Green eyes, amazing style, seems friendly. Screw Diane's necklace! I thought.

"What a beautiful name," I said. "Kaylssa."

"Haha!" Kay laughed slapping me on the arm playfully. "That's cool, too."

"So, um, let's go to my car and talk. Cause this doesn't seem so friendly!" I said, embarrassed.

"Sure, sure!" She said. "As long as your not trying to kill me!"  She laughed, but it sounded true. Maybe someone tried to kill her! I decided to ask once we got in my car.

"Wow, a Ferrari?! You must be rich!" She said, in amusement looking around in the passanger seat.

"Well, heh, i am." I said, sitting down trying to rinse the water out of my hair. "I thought you knew."

"Wow.. No i didn't!" Kay said. "But your life must be perfect."

I did not relate to what Aylssa said. My life is not perfect. If i had an option to run away right now, with Alyssa, i would! "Heh, no," I replied. "Not really. But anyway, what's up with your life?"  Kay struggled on this. But she tried.

"Um, well.." Kay said, looking down at her shoes, crying alittle. "My mother died when i was 8, while rushing to pick me up from school, just after i met you. She only crossed one red light, trying to get to me quicker, then bang. She crashed.. That's why i never saw you again or talked to you. I was really upset..."

I was in shock to how this happened! Maybe it was me.. Or something. "Oh my god, Alyssa!" I said, wrapping my arms around her. She sniffled.

"A-And my father, i never knew him i don't think.." She said. "But my foster parents are the nicest people ever. But my foster mother, Ellie, died.. And then my foster father is on business most of the time. But he comes back and has a few random visits now and then. From the age of 13, i've been living on my own in a big house my foster father left me, he gets paid alot but has to go to different countries and stuff. So i barely get to see him. Now im 17.. People always leave me. People always leave. The only person through thick and think who has been there for me since Kindergarden, is Katherine Elizabeth Davis, but people just call her Kate or Kaitlyn or Kat. She's my best friend. And came over everyday since my mom died. Always been there for me. Never left. But her parents have never given a crap about her. When it was out juniour prom she overheard her dad saying that the dress she chose made her look thick.." Kay sighed and cried.

"Oh my god! And are you okay?! You and Katherine?!" I said, shocked more than ever. "Why do bad things happen to good people?"

"Yes, thank you." She said. "We are both fine, we have been our own team. Fought everything that comes our way!!"

"Well, that's great!" I said, smiling.

God, this girl is amazing...
