Why are Tim and Jessica the only ones who survived?

Well to be honest, I think that's a good choice of people who survived.
I loved the others (like Jaybird and Brian) but I mean....
Here's a list of why I think Tim and Jess were good choices:

-Tims been dealing with The Øperator for a long time and has survived through it all

-Jessica was randomly thrown in as a character and it wouldn't have made sense if she died, because then she would've been labeled as "not important" for not being in the series for long

-If Brian survived, he probably would have just committed suicide anyway. It's sad, yes, but he was unstable from the start it seems. Plus, what would he do for the rest of his life? Stalk Tim? No, I don't think so

-Obviously, if Alex survived, he wouldn't have stopped trying to kill Tim

-If Jay survived he wouldn't stop trying to figure out what The Øperator was, and why everything happened. Plus trying to find Jessica (#Jayssica)

-Sarah, Amy and Seth... those 3 are great but I feel like if they stuck around the series would've gotten confusing. Also, I think Seth actually survived. In Marble Hornets Explained by Night Mind, it was proved that Seth was actually the starter of totheark. He made the channel to get revenge on Alex, and The Masked Man and The Hooded Man soon joined. But idk
