“So Sofia, I was thinking if we could work on the project this afternoon.” Seth suggested as we made our way out of school.

“Sure, just give me the time and place.”

“Does your place around five sound okay?”

“Yeah, but here let me give you my address.”

“Oh no that’s okay. I already know where you live.” I raised my eyebrows at him. Well gee, that doesn’t sound stalkerish at all. I saw his cheeks tint with pink and he immediately added on.

“Well you know, it’s a small town, you kinda already know where everyone lives. Plus Mika told me.” He defended rapidly. I giggled and nodded.

“Okay, see you later then.” I waved and walked back home. This time I walked fast and checked around cautiously.

As soon as I got home, I went straight to my room and got on my laptop. I googled wolves here at La Push. The first thing that popped up were wolves’ attacks that happened just recently, but they didn’t seem like wolves' attacks to me. I looked around the sight more until I came upon the Quileute tribe. Hm...Interesting. I clicked on images and was about to check them out when suddenly the doorbell rang. I jumped startled and laughed at myself for being a silly. I got up, putting my laptop on the coffee table and went to open the door.

“Oh hey Seth!” I greeted once I saw who it was.

“Hey! You ready.” I nodded my head and let him in.

“Wow! Your house is beautiful.” He sighed dreamily.

“Why thank you. Here let me lead you the way to the library room, where we can work.” As we walked he continued to stare at the house in awe.

“Do you want anything to drink or eat?” I offered once we entered the room. He took a seat on one of the couches and looked around.

“Oh no thanks. I’m not hungry.” All of sudden his stomach growled stating other wise. We both laughed.

“Alright, I’ll be right back with some Mexican style sandwiches and drinks.” He chuckled and nodded hungrily.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“Here you are.” I announced coming back into the room and handing him a plate of two sandwiches a la Mexicana and a soda. He looked up and grabbed the plate and drink hungrily.

“Thanks.” He grinned and immediately dove in. I chuckled and bit into my sandwich.

“So, you into wolves?” He asked taking a sip of his soda. I saw that I had left my laptop open on the coffee table.

“Oh no, it’s just that I saw some wolves today, but they were too big to be wolves. I couldn't believe my eyes, they looked more like bears rather than wolves.” I explained.

“Really? Wolves? Where?”

“In the woods on my way to school.”

“Is that why your arm was bleeding?” Crap!

“Well yeah and no. I wasn’t lying when I said I tripped. I really did trip when I got scare and scraped my arm.”

“Oh…okay. So how did these wolves look like?” I stayed silent.

“Why so interested?” It was his turn to stay silent.

“Well you know I’m just curious.”

“Hey, do you just so happen to know about the Quileute tribe legends?” I asked changing the subject.

“Yeah, why?” I noticed him tense up.

“Um no reason, it’s just that when I researched wolves, the Quileute tribe popped up.” He nodded and we ate in silence.

“So where’s your mom?”

“Oh, she’s out of town on some book thing, something abou meeting with or publisher I think. She’ll be back hopefully by Sunday morning.”

“Cool.” I nodded and picked up my plate and his and set them aside.

"And your dad?" I froze in my spot.

"My parents are divorced. He um...he's with his girlfriend back in Texas." He gave me a look that had apology written all over it. I just gave him a grim smile. After a few mintues went by I sighed and spoke up.

“Alright I think we should get started on this dumb project.” He chuckled but agreed.

2 hours later…

“Finally! We are done!” I got up happily and stretched.

“I know! Should I keep it or do you want to keep it safe?” I picked up the dishes and headed for the kitchen, with Seth following behind.

“I’ll keep it.” I began washing the dishes while he jumped on the counter. From the corner of my eyes I could see him stare at me intently. I saw a little smile form at his lips.

“What?” I asked feeling self-conscious, putting my bangs behind my ear. He smiled and shook his head.

“Nothing.”

“What! Tell me.” I pouted, batting my eyes. He laughed shaking his head no.

“Why!” I pulled his arm making him fall off the counter and fall onto me. His hands immediately grabbed onto my waist, accidentally bringing me closer to him. We stayed like that for a moment just staring. His eyes went from my eyes to my lips, our heads inches away from each other.

“I uh, I better getting.” He rapidly broke away, scratching the back of his neck awkwardly. I nodded leading him to the door.

“I guess I’ll see you around.” He said standing outside my door, facing towards me.

“Yup.” We both stood there awkwardly. Niether of us really wanting to say goodbye.

“Um…right…bye.” I gave him a quick goodbye hug and turned around shutting the door behind me.

Well can this day get anymore awkward…
