"Sofia, honey are you up?" I heard my mother yell from the other side of the door. I grumbled and pulled the covers off me.

"I am now!" I whined back, hearing her laugh in the hallway.

"Hurry! Don't want you to be to be late for your first day of school" She hollered, before completely walking away.

"Yeah, yeah." I retorted while yawning. I quickly hopped into the shower and got ready. Once out of the shower, I looked at the clock on my bedside. 7:30, crap, I'm running late. I quickly put on some ripped skinny jeans, a band shirt with my favorite flannel, and my converse. I brushed my hair and let it fall into it's natural state of straightness. I grabbed my bookbag and keys before running out my room and down the stairs.

"Bye mom! Love you!" I said kissing her cheek as I ran past her. I quickly got inside my black truck, a gift from my dad for my 16th birthday, and drove off. I got there exactly at 7:45. Wow, I sure do know how to speed. I let out a deep breath and gathered my stuff before getting out. I saw the whole squad chilling on the stairs at the front of the school. Allie waved me over and I walked towards them. I felt all eyes on me and the whispers immediately began. I just ignored them and continued walking.

"Hey!" I smiled and sat down on the stairs next to Lily. They all smiled back and went back to talking.

"So you excited?" Lily asked.

"Um, not really. I'm just hoping to get this done and over with." I breathed out. She smirked and shook her head. Just then the first bell rang.

"Crap, we gotta get to class you guys. I don't about you guys, but I seriously can't afford another detention." Tyler groaned, everybody nodding in agreement. They all stood up and gave me a apologetic smile.

"Yeah sure. I gotta go to the office to pick up my schedule. See ya'll in a bit...I hope." I uttered the last part to myself. I quickly got up and stepped inside the building. I looked around, nearly getting trampled by the herd of students. I easily located the office and entered.

"Hello, I'm Sofia Fuentes. I'm the new transfer student and I'm here to pick up my schedule." I politely spoke to the lady. She looked about 40 years old and had a few grey hair with thick rimmed glasses placed on her face.

"Ah, yes Ms. Fuentes, nice to meet you, I'm Mrs. Purser. I hope you enjoy your stay here at La Push High. Here's your schedule and locker number. Let me know if you are having any trouble hun." She offered kindly.

"Thank you." I said grabbing the paper and giving her a warm smile. As I made my way around, I skimmed through it: English III, Chemistry, American History, Lunch, Gym, Art, and last but not least Pre-Calc.

I looked around for Room 201. I guess I must've looked lost because a girl came up to me. I noticed that it was the same girl that had smiled at me from the other night at the bonfire.

"Hey, need any help?" She asked,  overlooking my shoulder to get a closer peek at my schedule.

"Yes please. I can't seem to find this class." I admitted shyly, causing her to giggle.

"Here, let me see your schedule." I gladly handed her my schedule. She took a quick glance and squealed excitedly.

"Omg! We have almost all the same classes except for Pre-calc." I felt relieved, knowing I'd a least know one person in my classes.

"Here, I'll walk you to English." She said guiding me through the hallways.

"I'm Mika by the way." She said giving me a welcoming smile.
