(Alice POV)
I happily followed my mother through the massive doors into the great kingdom of Erebor. It was very early and we where there to make the royal family breakfast so nobody in the kingdom was really awake, save for a couple miners here and there and the servents. I smiled up at my mom. "I love coming to work with you~" I chirped skipping slightly down the hallway. "Haha why is that my dear?" My mother asked grabbing the back of my dress to keep me don't going to far away from her. "I like working for the King. I think it's fun." My mother laughing. "Alice you don't work for the King, your just helping me. Besides, you haven't even seen anyone besides the King." I shook my head. "I've seen Thorin! I mean...from extremely far away...to where I can't make out his face but I've still seen him!" My mom laughed. "I've met Master Thorin, he's quite a handsome man." I looked at my mom. "Well...isn't a prince supposed to be hot? Isnt that a thing? Ugh I want to meet him so badly!!" My mother laughed, "you have quite the crush my child." I glared at my mother as we entered the kitchen to make breakfast "no I don't. Just because I want to meet him doesn't mean I have a crush.", she only grinned. "Now, I actually need to start cooking but I also need to wake King Throrr, Thrain and master Thorin." My eyes widened. "I can do it! Please mother!!!" She glanced at me. "You just want to see Master Thorin." I nodded slowly. "So?" She laughed. "Fine, but wake King Throrr first, then master Thrain then Master Thorin." I nodded and grabbed my apron, tying it around my waist.
As I left the kitchen I wondered quickly towards King Throrr's bed chambers. I came to the large jeweled door. "Enter." I pushed open the large door and found King Throrr in his massive bed. "Your highness," I said bowing before the King. "Who are you my dear? I don't believe I've seen you here before." I looked at the King. "I help my mother with her daily work, however she is making breakfast so she sent me to wake you up to make sure you where ready in time to eat." The King looked at me. "What is your name?" I gulped. "Alice...your highness" he nodded. "Ah, well, thank you Alice. You may be on your way." I nodded, bowing to the King once more before leaving. I leaned against the door. 'Well that was terrifying...' I thought to myself. Before pushing myself off the wall and waking down the long corridor to the next bedroom.
Master Thrain.
I took a deep breath before knocking on the door. "Enter." My breath hitched hearing the deep voice speak. I pushed the large door open and saw Master Thrain already out of bed and looking out his window. "Good morning master Thrain." I said bowing. "Arn't you Marie's baeren?" I nodded. "Yes sir, I am." Master Thrain grinned. "So why are ya here?" He asked. "Oh! I'm here helping my mother but she's making breakfast so I'm helping her by waking you up to make sure your ready." I said. Thrain nodded to me. "Well you've done your job well here." I smiled. Master Thrain was a lot nicer than I was expecting. I bowed to him. "Pleasure meeting you Alice." I nodded. "An honor to meet you sir." I bowed and left the room. I grinned. 'I finally get to meet Master Thorin!!' I smiled to myself.
I skipped up two staircases and found myself at Master Thorin's bedroom. "What am I gonna say...Alice, just act normal...no don't act normal your really weird. Just do what you've done the last two times. I knocked on the door. "Come in." I took a deep breath and pushed open the large door. The room was very dark.
I looked to see him under the covers on his stomach in his massive bed, I couldn't see his face. "Master Thorin?" I asked softly. "Yes. What is it." He said not looking at me. "I was sent to tell you that breakfast will be ready soon." I said.
I could hardly see him sit up in his bed through the darkness but I could make out the fact that...he was shirtless...oh my.
"Open the curtains." He said. I rushed and pulled the curtains open, letting the light of day flow into the room. I turned and saw Master Thorin standing. I looking away, not knowing what else to do. "Have I met you before?" I heard his deep baritone voice. "N-no your highness...you haven't." He stood facing me. I felt under a trance. He was the most handsome dwarf I had ever seen...his beard was amazing. "Who are you then?" He came towards me. "My name is Alice..." I said shrinking under his intimidation. He looked down at me. "Alice?" He repeated as he took his hand and ran it through my long red hair. I could feel the blush spreading across my face. "Y-your highness..." I said slightly backing away. "My apologies, I just have never seen anyone with this shade of red." I smiled. "Is that a bad thing? I ways thought it made me special." I looked up and saw the prince grinning. "Yes, it does." He turned and walked to his closet. "Do you work here?" He asked pulling on a shirt. "N-no...well...sort of. I don't get pain though." He looked at me with his eyebrow raised. "What? Why don't you get paid?" He asked. "Well...I don't work here officially I help my mother." He nodded. "Would you like a job?" My eyes windened. "Excuse me?" I said in shock. "I've been wanting a personal servant, I feel you would be a nice fit." I smiled widely. "Y-yes! I would love too!!" I said excitedly. "Well, you start tomorrow then." He said buckling his belt. "Thank you so much Master Thorin!" He nodded. "Of course. You will be here tomorrow morning to bring me my breakfast in bed, after wards we will take it from there." He said. "Yes your highness." I said bowing. "You may take your leave." He said. I nodded and bowed again before shutting the door. I smiled and ran through the halls to my mother.
