****"Murad?" My voice came out raspy and very faint. It has been a long time since I've been able to loudly say his name.
Murad's eyes, red and full of an ocean of hurt I couldn't really understand, quickly shifted from mine. "You don't look good Hanna. Go back inside." He scoffed from under his breath expect his voice didn't match his harsh words.
He stood up after speaking. His voice was filled with exhaustion. He began walking away and my breath cut off. I quickly ran after him. He didn't stop of course and just kept striding away with his long legs as if he was trying extreamly hard to get away from me.
In order to get him to halt, I quickly ran and stood in front of him. "Murad." I said breathlessly as I looked up at him. He didn't look at me. He just looked directly over my head.
I took a deep breath despite the heaviness I felt in my chest. "I know you're upset-"
Before I could even finish, Murad cut my sentence. "I'm not upset." He scoffed and his now cold eyes met mine. "I'm doing just fine."
I subconsciously noticed a strand of Murads dark hair misplaced and mistakenly reached to move it like I had done a million times but Murad quickly gripped my wrist, leaving me embarrassed. "I'-I'm s-sorry." I quickly looked away.
Murad stared into my eyes, searching through them. Then his eyes turned dark and he took a step toward me and leaned a little meeting my height. "You need to stop thinking about me" he smirked. "Your fiancé wouldn't like that."
"He's not my fiancé." I gritted as I ripped my wrist out of his grip. His hurtful words caused my eyes to burn just a little.
Murad dropped his smirk and a glare overtook his face. "Oh yeah Hanna? Then what do you call him?" His voice taunted, it's harshness cut through me. "Because you need to figure it out."
Just as he said that Ahmed popped out from the corner of the street. "Hanna!" He shouted at me but I couldn't help but feel the hurt of Murads words jab into me.
Murad scoffed after looking over his shoulder at Ahmed and then turned back to me. "You two Have fun." He mocked, meeting my eyes one last time before quickly walking away, his arm brushing harshly against my shoulder.
I felt my heart only dig deeper into my chest. It hurt.
"Hanna." Ahmed finally reached me gripping my shoulders as I just stared at the passing cars. "Are you okay? What did Murad say to you?"
I gritted as I pushed him away. "None of your business! You brought me here to see him right?" I glared at him.
Ahmed sighed and looked away. "I wanted to-"
"I don't care!" I cut him off. "Leave me alone." I quickly started leaving in the opposite way he came but he quickly gripped my arm.
"Where are you going?" He asked.
I turned around and grabbed his arm to rip off his grip. "You have no right to touch me." I sneered as I felt the tears forming in my eyes.
Ahmed let go slowly. "I'll take you home." He said softly.
I sighed. "I already called Karan. He's coming for me." He looked into my eyes probably not believing me but I didn't care. "Go home Ahmed." I said lastly before turning sharply and walking away, praying Ahmed wasn't still following. The soft wind of the summer night lifted my hair slightly as I sped walked through the crowds on my bare feet. The sidewalk felt warm against my feet as I tried my best to get lost in the people.
