I looked up at Murad, surprised he was standing in front of me and actually speaking to me like I wasn't a monster.

I subconsciously let go of Wafa's hand but Wafa stayed anyways as I bet she too was shocked that Murad was speaking to me.

"Privately?" He added once he noticed Wafa was next to me.

I cleared my throat and Wafa quickly backed away. I had a feeling she was glad I wasn't grilling her and instead distracted by Murad.

"Y-Yeah sure." I said, nervous and afraid of what was gonna happen.

We sat in his brand new car he had probably just bought because I have never seen it before. It smelled like new leather as well and it looked like it just left the manufacturer.

"It's a gift." He broke the deafening silence. "From my mom," He looked at me. "due to the divorce."

"Oh." I nodded slowly. I was hurting because i couldn't help him much during this difficult time. He was always there for me. "I hope everything worked out." I added gently. I was out of breath to be honest. It was weird seeing Murad go from psychotic to suddenly civil. I was afraid of why he did become like that. What was her gonna say?

"I," he began as I tightly pressed my lips, "I will let you be. I will let you live your life the way you want." He said as he looked straight ahead at the other cars in the parking lot.

"Murad," I slightly turned to him, clearly not understanding what he was meaning, "what is this about?"

"I'm done fighting with you. I'm happy for you Hana." His beautiful sparkling eyes that still were dazzling even in this difficult time didn't meet mine.

I frowned. I was supposed to be happy he was being civil but I only felt the hole in my chest feel even bigger. It was even more painful because it felt like he was giving up.

Well what did you expect idiot?

"You're happy that I am marrying Ahmed?" I said, a little sharply. Maybe a little to sharp because Murad's jaw tightened.

"Yes." He swallowed. "Extremely." His eyes scanned the steering wheel, his hands gripped tighter on it.

I felt a lump in my throat get bigger. I felt pain. I wanted to scream. I wanted to yell "YOU LAIR" but I didn't.

I swallowed my words. My aching pain and kept it hidden in the hole I've developed in me.

"Okay, fine." My lips formed a line. "If that's what you think is good for us then I'm glad."

Murad nodded. I was impatiently waiting for his eyes to meet mine but he hid well. He cleared his throat.

Suddenly he lifted his head and looked me clear in the face. I held my breath, this was out of ordinary. It has been so long since I've clearly seen his face.

"I'm not mad you." He softly said. "This stupid thing is over." He then looked away and I heard the doors unlock. "You can go."

I didn't wait for his say and quickly opened the heavy door of the Maserati and left. I quickly felt the tears start to form and my throat to close up.

WAFA

I waited outside the school waiting for my car to pull up like a little kid because well my father doesn't like us to drive after a family member died in a car accident a while back.

While waiting, a bright neon green Dodge Challenger pulled up in front of me. My heart started beating faster.

I knew exactly who that belonged to.
