Karma.

Yeah that one word means a lot of things for a lot many reasons.. for someone doing jolly good work for the needy, it may mean he's got something big to come up his way in stock, for someone lying back down on the couch; munching on those gummy bears- it might make him feel unworthy to this place called earth and so in his case, karma may sound something next to being 'lazy' forevermore..

But for people like you, it always mean something bad coming up your sleeves. Well despite the fact that you're a hard worker, been a straight A+ student back in school and college, not to mention you have been certified as a gold medalist!, but still there's something about this word which always gives those feels, you know something bad's 'bout to happen? Yeah that's exactly how you define it as.

Na'ah you haven't really done something to someone that should have you wrapped up around these thoughts surrounding 'karma' but it's just this feeling you are getting lately which makes you have those weird stirring pit in the stomach inside as though something is about to happen!

Fumbling through the pages of the recent file that you are given to proofread by your manager, you suddenly burst out crying clutching your stomach tightly.

"Gosh it hurts!" You curse under your breath. Your hands automatically drive their way towards the jug of water you always keep next to you whenever you do late night work.

The prickling tears threaten to fall any minute as the pain intensifies but that shouldn't stop work! Nothing in this world can stop you from working, not even these ugly cramps you happen to get every month nor the weird untimely nauseous feelings you've been suffering recently!

Shaking yourself back to reality and trying your very best to get back on tracks to kick start the pending work, you again start going through the book when suddenly you see it getting shut and in a blink the book is gone!

You look up to see your husband towering you, his two eyes doting inside yours, his brows raised up together in a bridge (clearly indicating how pissed he is).
Your eyes gaze down on the book which was grabbed around in his arms.

"Give it back to me, you book thief!" You complain trying to snatch away the book from his firm grip.
But of course, he happens to be way stronger than you are and so all those trys come to your avail when he walks back to bed with the book in his hands.

"We have an off tomorrow y/n.. why are you pressurizing yourself so much?" He whines, his eyes following your movements as you decide to walk to bed next to him.

"I just want to spend some leisure time alone tomorrow.." you stretch yourself up, "so that's why I intend to finish off the work by tonight.. and enjoy tomorrow!" You announce stretching your hand in his direction for him to handle you back your copy.
