Chapter One : My Best Friend

Zane's pov
I wake up in a dark cavern, flowers surrounding me. This place why does it look so familiar to me? I think to myself, then I remember...I died.
~Flashback~
"There, on that patch of golden flowers in the center of the village." I say to my brother Garroth as he is carrying my lifeless body around my old town. "Alright, baby bro." He walks towards the flowers. "Here. It is here were you will put my body." As Garroth placed down the body, we heard a scream."MONSTER!" We turn around a see the voices source, a woman staring at us with a terrified look on her face. Then all of a sudden more screams, other people yelling to run, hide, or grab weapons. "That Monsters killed the child!" One voice said. "What do we do, brother? I'm scared." Garroth said to me Frightened.
"We fight back, here, give me control so I can kill them." I say angrily, as I take control of his body. I summon two giant swords and aim them to a human. "NO! Zane, stop. Please don't kill them!" Garroth pleaded with me. The swords stop in mid air and the human shoots us. "Garroth, you have been shot. Let me kill them as revenge." I say annoyed. "It's not going down! Shoot it more!" The human said as we got hit more and more. "Garroth! You are DYING! The humans will kill you, I need to kill them so they will know not to mess with us!" I raise the swords at the human who shot us then they come down at my sides. " No! We can't kill them! Let's go back home, at least there, we are safe." Garroth said picking up my body, and bringing it back to the mountain. We arrive and he collapses onto mom and dads flower garden. "See, it's better here...r-right... Zane...?" He was weak. What about our plan to get six more souls? He failed me. "You are an idiot." Then darkness took over.
~Flashback over~
How did I come back? I died right? Then I stand up to dust myself off from all the dirt then see something odd, long black hair falls over my chest and instead of my green and yellow hoodie, I have a blue and purple sweater, and my skin tone is darker,This is not my body. "So, are you going to give it back?" A female voice asks me. I turn to see her she's a few inches shorter than I, has long black hair that goes down a bit past her chest, a blue and purple stripped sweater, black shorts and black combat boots with purple laces. "Yeah, I guess. Holding your physical form as my own has no purpose for me." I give her control. She walked to the exit of the cave and we were met by a small golden flower. "Hiya! I'm Gar Gar. Gar Gar he Golden Flower!" That name struck me with surprise. It was Garroth's nickname that our parents used, did he somehow come back like I did? "Hi there, my name is Aphmau. "It's nice to met you Gar Gar. " Aphmau said to him. "Hey, your new around here, why don't I show you how things work here,huh?" He asked. All of a sudden an bright red heart appeared in front of Aphmau. "That heart there, we call that a soul. It's the very core of your being. Your soul right now is small and weak but is can grow big and strong if it gets something called LV." Gar Gar explained. "What's LV?" Aphmau asked. "It stands for LOVE, duh! Now, you want LOVE, right? It sounds good,doesn't it? Here, I'll give you some since your new!" Gar Gar said winking. "LOVE can be shared with little doors." Five small floating doors appeared next to the flower as he said get as many as you can! "Wow thanks Gar Gar! Your such a good friend." Aphmau said as she reached for a door. When she did she fell over an all her energy was drained. "Wh..what was that for?...You said-" She was cut off by Gar Gar. "HAHAHAHAHAH! You idiot. I can't believe you would fall for something like THAT! Heheh! all I need is one soul. DIE!" She was surrounded by doors and couldn't move, well looks like this is the end of her very short path. Suddenly the doors disappeared and a shoe hit Gar Gar away from us. "On no. Are you alright?"
