Chapter Five : Battle a REAL Jury

Travis yells to me as he runs closer. "Um hey. So I just spoke to Katelyn and she...um she told me that-that you...hurt a lot of people."His voice was low but then got more joy in it. "But dude,that- That's not true? Right... Y-you wouldn't...." I turn around to face him with a wide and evil smile, weapon drawn. "Y-you did.. Oh man.. I uh what would Katelyn do?"His expression changes. "If You wanna hurt anyone else...your...your gonna have to get though ME first." He's shaking, trying to look intimidating. He is in my way and looks  like a free source of power. I swing the knife at him but I'm blocked by non other than Katelyn.

Katelyn's pov
I'm speed walking towards the kid-Travis I think he said his name was- and the human. From my perspective, it looks like their talking, but I KNOW that isn't true. The human gets closer I start running at them. I make it just in time to push Travis away from the human. I was hit instead of him, I feel all my power getting drained. I'm dying. I use the last of my strength to say," Hey kid. Didn't I tell you not to go near that human?" I look down at him, smiling weakly. "K-Katlyen, you're hurt!" He looks worried, But I have to act like I'm fine, for everyone else, if I don't... What's the point of being called a hero? "It's nothing. I'm fine, but I need you to get out of here!" He nods and runs in the opposite direction.   "It's nothing... Heh." I feel my body fading. "I can't believe, with just one hit. I'm all ready..." I can't feel the lower half of my body. I fall to my knees, my right arm starting to crumble into pieces like a broken vase. I look at the demon who was going to do this to the kid and they smile, disgusting. "I'm all ready fading... NO. This isn't over. Not YET. " I grab the side of the bridge tightly and smile a wicked and determined smile and stare at the human in front of me, their expression changes fear is in their eyes. "My body feels like... It's splitting apart. As if at any time I'll scatter into thousands of pieces!" I look down and see my left arm is gone, and I only have the shoulder, that too is starting to disappear. "This... Isn't just about us monsters anymore, is it? If you get past me, your kill them ALL won't you? Monsters, Humans, Everyone and everything that gets in your path. Everyone's hopes, dreams GONE in an instant!" Something in my soul is resonating, it feels like I have been given power! I rise up, grinning like a little kid with presents from King Garte himself. "Deep In my SOUL the is a burning feeling, I can't describe. A burning the WONT let me die! Right Now I can feel everyone's hearts and souls pounding as one! And we all have one goal: to defeat YOU! Human.... No. WHATEVER you are... I, KATELYN, will strike you down!" My body disappears completely. But I can feel myself grow stronger than I was before. Is this the power of DETERMINATION? I can feel my whole body being pieced together like a needle and thread on a quilt. I reform and stare at the monster in front of me the look shocked. "It's going to take more than THAT to take down a Fire Fist!" Dying and coming back to life fills me with DETERMINATION.
    We start to fight, the human attacks me with the knife it has. I look at it and notice, it's a toy...a hundred monsters dead, by a toy. My hate to them increases, I want the human to know the pain and suffer we have endorsed and more. I attack them with my weapons below the chest and they  get knocked down. I summon small, gray spear like bullets from the ground and the human gets up dodging most of them as they run at me, I wasn't quick enough to get out of the way and they slice at my face below my right eye. I wipe that area so no blood gets in my way, but to my surprise, instead of blood a blue light shines through. I leave it be and continue fighting. I hit the human a few more times and they hit me some more as well. After a while I started to get tired and felt sweat drip from my face. I rub my forehead and see that a sticky mixture of some of my hair and skin was on my hand. I ignore it and flick the residue on my fingers into the ground. The human noticed and smiled. I stare at them and say "Lucinda told me humans were determined, I see now hat she meant by that. But I'm determined TOO, determined to end this right now!" They swing their knife and hit me. "Ugh.. Do you see how strong monsters can be, when we stand together?!" I focus on my movements and think about why I'm still here. I fight to honor the ones who have fallen fighting for the same cause. The human fights like this is all a game. I I'm too determined for my own good, but I have to win for my kind, an yet now I feel myself fading. I'm getting tired,  why now? I have to keep pushing. I look to my shoulder and see my armor melting together into a dark blue hue. I keep pushing, my attacks getting stronger. With each step I take, I leave puddles of my boots on the ground below. I am determined to win, but I'm so tired my body hurts, I just want to fall over. My attacks get slower.  They come to a stop as I start crying.My legs start to puddle as the world around me starts to spin. "I guess... Even with... THAT power. I still wasn't able to defeat you." I continue melting as tears stream down my face. "I...if you... Think ... That I'm going to... Give up. Your-your WRONG!"My torso is melting into the ground,I can see my dust start to appear around me. "I have... All ugh.. All my friends behind me! Lucinda said that she would evacuate everyone... If anything went wrong. Heheh! THIS.WORLD.WILL.LIVE.ON!" Then I disappear into the ground.

Zane's pov
"THIS.WORLD.WILL.LIVE.ON!" Were Katelyn's last words as she melted away. She really put up a fight. I look past where she died and see something yellow, but it disappeared. I  slowly make my way to the next area.
