Chapter Two : Ruined

Aphmau's pov
I was curled up in a ball on the ground waiting for the flower to kill me, but he didn't. "Oh no. Are you alright?" I herd a woman ask. I look up to see her with a worried expression on her face, she had black hair that went down to her shoulders, a black sweater with a mint green color top, the bottom of her dress was blue. "Here let me heal you." Heal? Is she one of the monsters that lives down here? I don't want to go through the same thing with the flower again, what if all monsters are like him? "I am Ziana, guardian of the Ruins. I came by to see if anyone had fallen down, your the first human to come in... A long time. Come I will guide you to you new home." She seems nice I guess.. Did she say my new home as if I have to stay here forever? But I want To go home! I take back what I said, but she's waiting, I follow her into the next room. "Don't you feel the shadows of the Ruins filling you with DETERMINATION?" Ziana asked as I entered the room." Yeah. I do." We walked up the stairs and enters a room. Ziana explained that I needed to do some puzzles in the Ruins if I wanted to move from room to room. She showed me the first two then left me in a room by myself, finally on my own. I don't need her I'm old enough to take care of myself she's just holding me back. I leave the room and get a phone call, I don't want to answer it but it's her and she's probably worried. "Hello, this is Ziana. You didn't leave the room yet, right?" She asked me though the phone. "No." I lied,"Oh good! There are some puzzles in other rooms that are a bit hard and I want to solve them together for your safety." She finished, I don't want to talk, she's kinda annoying, so I say 'bye'. When I hung up a person with small wings and antenna came up to me and it started to attack me. I was scared and hit her with a stick I found, her body started to lose its shape, then she turned into a pile of ashes. I killed her. I didn't want to, she was the one who started it. But a strange feeling came over me, I felt...stronger? It feels good somehow. I killed her and I feel bad that I did but at the same time I feel better. After walking around in the room for a few minutes a person with little fireflies around them attack me. The little fireflies fly toward me with little stingers and they all hit me, I hit the person in the center thy seem weak after the hit an look like they want to run away yet they still attack. After there turn I hit them, the same thing happened, the body disappeared and I felt stronger. I walk around in the Ruins killing everyone I see, I feel bad that I end people's lives but I feel stronger with every kill.
Zane's pov
She killed them...
All of them...
I knew humans were heartless. But this feeling I get with each kill... Odd. Perhaps instead of freeing monsters from the underground is impossible, but freeing them from the world completely is an easier task.. I may need this body after all...
Aphmau's pov
I make it to Ziana's house unharmed. Dust on my shoes, but she doesn't say anything about it. She leads me to the front door then she walked in I stand out there and get this rush of DETERMINATION But something feels off maybe I'm just tired? She I walk in and Ziana tells me she made a pie to show that she cares about me then leads me to a room- my room she said- I look around in the room then go the the living room, Ziana is reading in a chair I go to the kitchen and see the pie, I go over to the pantry and a voice asks,"Where are the knives?" I look around, he's right there are no knifes in the house at all. How will we cut the pie? I tell Ziana I was going outside, and look around I find a room I never saw before it has a view of a small city and on the ground next to me, a toy knife, I picked it up as if I was being controlled to it then walk back to the house. I go into my room and lay on the bed slowly I fall asleep. A bit later I wake up and a slice of pie is on the floor on a plate. I take the pie. I go to the living room and ask Ziana how to leave."You...want to leave? Umm, but why? The ruins are very nice.. There are good people here,everyone is very friendly! Umm hey why not hear about this book I'm reading?" She asks frantically. " I want to leave." I say impatiently "I just want to know how to leave the ruins." Ziana looks disappointed then gets up from her chair and says," I need to do something. You will," she pauses," Stay here." She leaves the room. "Follow her." I hear Zane command, I do as he says and follow Ziana to the basement. "...Why? Why did you hurt them all?" She stopped in front of a door not facing me, her voice shaking. "You think I don't know? The dust on your clothing, the look on your face, the aura of the Ruins. It is silent. I am the only one left, I see who I was protecting by keeping you here, not you but them." Ziana turned around,tears in her eyes. The fight starts.
Zane's pov
I take out the toy knife from Aphmau's back pocket. Mom looks in disbelief at at me, but starts to prepare an attack, I take this as an opportunity and strike across her chest. "Y-You! At my... Most vulnerable moment...heh and I was going to try...to protect you... You really are no different than them! Hahaha!" She clutched chest then disappeared. I stand there staring at her dust on the ground. Then walk forward, a small golden flower is smiling at me. " Wow! You killed them all huh. Ya know at first I thought you were just a normal human but boy was I wrong! Haha! Hey your Zane aren't you? You came back just like me, I new we where inseparable! Hey, I have an idea, why not kill them all? Everyone who gets in our way, we'll be unstable! Monsters, Humans, EVERYONE, they'll know the true meaning of FEAR! Hahah! That's a wonderful idea! He disappeared into the earth. I push past the door and a rush of cold hits my skin.
