"..."
"......"
"....no" I said.
"Aww! C'mon (y/n)! It'll be fun!" John said with puppy dog eyes. We were both staring at a board with a poster that advertised in big letters, 'TALENT SHOW'.
"No! I can't, I'll just freeze up and mess the whole piece up!"
"No you won't! You're really good!!! No one wouldn't notice a slight slip up but you." He said assuringly. I sighed,
"I'll think about it..." I mumbled. His face lights up which led to a small celebration. I blushed slightly due to his adorable childish behavior. "H-hey now, let's not get too carried away. I said maybe." But he continues to smile anyways.
"You should come over! We can practice and plan out what we'll do! And hangout in the spare time!" He said excitingly.
"I'll ask my dad," I chuckled while texting my father, he accepted the request and I asked John when to be there. He told me what to bring and what time, etc.. Then we parted our ways to class.

Classes ended and everyone went their separate ways. After the few bruises by the girls, I went home to get ready to go to John's. I ate a quick snack, retrieved my violin and phone and left.

I rung the doorbell.
"............" I heard footsteps getting closer to the door and it swung open.
"Oh! Hey, (Y/n)! Come in!!" I walked inside, a man, who I assumed was John's father, walked into the living room; he greeted me with a smile me some cake. I declined the offer politely and John lead me up to his room.
"Cool room!" I said trying to be nice,
"Thanks!" He replied, "let's get planning!" I had a bad gut feeling about this, nervous, maybe?
"Are you sure we have to do this? The talent show I mean...." he pouted,
"(Y/nnnnn)...! You said you would!" He whined.
"I said maybe, I really don't like the talent show, John, so I'm not sure."
      "Why?"
"I've down the talent show a few times with a violin solo, each time I would find a way to cut short. People judging, mocking, bored, etc.. I stopped because each time would be a nervous feeling that's never satisfied afterwards."
"But you're really good! And plus we're doing a duet! It'll be fine!" I sighed at that,
"Whatever, we'll see how it goes."
"Thank you, (Y/n)!!" I blushed slightly due to his reaction,
"Yeah, well whatever," I say looking away.
