Lelia did not know what to think. How could that be possible? How could that even make sense?

She was silent as all three men stared at her, waiting for a reaction.

But Lelia had nothing to reassure them. Her mouth opened, yet no words came out.

She was part Asguardian? Lelia wanted to deny it, wanted to call Bruce a liar, but the evidence was staring her right in the face.

There was nothing she could do. No one to call. All she had were acquaintances standing around her, people who would never understand what she was feeling.

Part of her was okay. Asguard was a respectable place. But it was different, unfathomable. She would probably never be able to see it, she would never know about the truth behind her powers.

All she wanted to know was the full truth. That way she would be able to understand why it was lifesaving, yet deadly.

None of it made sense!

It was not fair. Why couldn't she just have a mutation? At least Bruce would be able to help her. At least there were documentations and experiences to compare with. But Lelia? She was the first. There was nothing, nobody else to rely on.

"—Lelia" Peter's voice whispered gently in her ear. But it was short and sharp, a warning.

"Your hands."

She looked down and gasped. They were glowing.

An abundant amount of fear flooded her sense, and she jumped away from them, knocking over a table and chair as she scrambled to get as far away from them as possible.

Lelia retreated to the other side of the room, but her hands started to glow brighter.

"Lelia it's okay—" Tony looked at her uncertainly.

It did not help. She could see how afraid they were.

Her pulse quickened, breaths shallow and afraid. Lelia felt the same panic she did when Peter was on his knees, about to die.

Was she going to kill them?

"What's happening to me?" She cried. "I can't even feel them!"

In a matter of seconds; she had lost control. One split second of hesitation had alerted her powers and made her lethal.

The frightened girl gazed across the room, eyes clouding with tears.

Bruce and Tony were backing away, unsure of what to do. But Peter took a step forward, eyes focused and determined. He was not afraid, but that made her even more worried.

She didn't want to hurt him. She would never be able to forgive herself.

"Stay back!" Lelia hissed.

As if on que, her hands burned. The blinding glow of her power causing Peter to stumble back. Tony had to raise his arms up in defense to block the light.

The blinding aura creeped up her arms, illuminating her veins. She could feel it in her eyes, in every pore and every bone.
