It was a cold, cold night again. My mom was already asleep. I stood up, planning to stargaze tonight. As I look up at my window, I got disappointed knowing that tonight's night have no stars at all.

"Dang it, is this God's day of coming?" I thought. As I look around, I saw a girl sitting on a bench. Of course, I got chills 'cause what if that girl will disappear after a blink of my eyes?

And so I tested it. I blinked my eyes, twice and thrice, and the girl's still there! Thank god she is a human. But as I look closer, she became more and more familiar.

"Oh wait, is that the girl from the corner of the park?" And with that simple question, I decided to sneak out and join her. She might be looking for stars too. I also grabbed 2 sparklers and a lighter, just in case if it gets boring.

After a successive "closing a door quietly", I started walking towards her, sat beside her and watched the night sky.

"Why're you still awake?" She asked in a soft tone, "Was about to watch the stars tonight but I can't find one. You?"

"Same. But there aren't that much stars for tonight." "Yeah, unless there'll be a lost star showing up at midnight."

She agreed by nodding at me and looked back at the sky.

It was so silent, so peaceful, so different.

As she waits for a star to appear, I examined her face.

Her hazel, chatoyant eyes, hair colored in apricot, skin as warm as latte.

She was so ethereal, full of demure. Like a star from the night sky, but brighter and eye-catching. (he's still six, please believe me –author)

I finally snapped out of my thoughts, slowly lighting up the sparkler.

"Have you seen a star?" She scanned the whole sky 'till she finally saw one, literally just one.

She pointed the star and told me that's the only star exists.

"Honestly, there's two more." "Wait, how?"

I'd shown her one sparkler and gave it to her. Then grabbed the other one for myself.

"Wow, this- I haven't seen this before." I looked at the sparklers, sparkling nonstop, "You know, these thing reminds me of my father. Every night, when there are no stars to see, he light these up and hand it to me and mom."

As I end the story, I noticed how she dropped her head down. Wondering, I looked down to ask, "Is something wrong?"

"Nothing, just some memory I remembered." She tries to smile in front of me, but I know she's pretending after seeing her eyes a little swollen. Maybe she cried a lot earlier before I got here. But of course, I wouldn't ask her about it, she might get sadder.

"You know what? Whatever happens just be positive. I may not be sure, but I feel you too..."

She stared at me, her eyes being teary a little,

"I lost my father after he died in sleep. Even my mom never knew that he had that sickness. We got shocked after waking our dead loved one but never responded."

I started to make oceans in my eyes, dropping out little by little. But I tried my best to continue without any stutters,

"It was my fault not being close to my father that much after a fight. I should've known long enough."
