Alexis's POV:
It was now 7.15 and I had browsed tumblr, twitter and Instagram and I was all set to get ready before everything in the house got manic. Or so I thought. I had 30 minutes which was plenty of time to get ready.
I skipped to the shower and on the way there I grabbed a dressing gown, hair towel and a normal towel. I jumped in the shower and l quickly washed myself . I picked up the grapefruit herbal essences shampoo and squirted a large dollop of it into my cupped hand. I gently massaged it into my scalp and washed it out. I did the same with my conditioner and then I washed my body.
10 minutes later
I was out of the shower in my dressing gown and head towel and I applied some cream onto my face. I left the bathroom and went back to my bedroom to get changed.
10 minutes later
I was dressed and I decided that today I was not going to apply any make up. I roughly towel dried my hair then went through it with the blow drier and then the straighteners. 5 minutes later I was all done and decided to pack my school bag. Then I realised it was the last day! NO SCHOOL BOOKS! Hooray!
I was wearing a white crop top with some high waisted jeans and some plain white vans. I loved to wear comfy clothes and no makeup, it just made me feel so natural, like I didn't need to cover up. I quietly entered Brook's room and gently shook her to tell her it was time to wake up. She acknowledged me and showed her emotions with a sharp groan. As you can probably tell, Brook is one of them moody teens who eventually realise that being a teenager is alright. She's 14. I noticed I was not wanted as Brook was giving me ' the look ' then I quickly exited.
As I walked into Fred's room I felt so bad. He was all snuggled up to Mr Bear just like I left him last night, had not moved a muscle. I saw that mum had ironed his school shirt and trousers so it was ready for me in the morning which was very helpful. I gently woke him up as he rubbed his eyes and smiled. " I had a really good sleep Lex, did you? " said Fred. " Yeah it was great! I'm glad you did too! " I said back. Fred smiled and hopped out of bed.
Fred did not bother me at all, Fred was quick to get dressed, eat breakfast, leave for school, and most importantly, getting up on time! " Brook come on hurry up! Get out of bed! It's 8.00! If your late again mom will honestly scold you! NOW GET UP! "
Brooklyn was the hardest. She would groan and moan and she would just stay in bed all huddled up and she could quite happily stay there all day. But as I was in charge, I was not going to let this happen.
Brook and I go to the same school all though I am in my last year of high school before I move to collage. Brook is in 9th grade and she is moving to 10th soon.
Brook finally got up and she was surprisingly quick to get dressed. I had Fred downstairs eating some cereal and he was just about to finish. Everything was under control! Brook came crashing down the stairs singing 5 seconds of Summer. As she got to the bottom I threw her an apple and she winked at me and said "I've got all my stuff see ya!"
All I had to do now was get Fred up and dressed. He quickly brushed his hair and slipped into his school clothes. I ruffled his hair and he smiled. I couldn't ask for a cuter brother. Freddie was so brave, seeing mom in the state she was and still being as happy as could be made me smile.
I grabbed Fred's school bag and we left, accidentally slamming the door behind us. It was quite warm outside and as we walked down the road Fred said to me " Lex, thanks for being like another mom to me". I stopped and turned round to look at Fred. I kneeled to his level and hugged him. " Your welcome Fred, I love you! " I tickled him and he giggled and we carried on walking.
" Now, who's coming round for a sleepover after school? Jake or Tom?" I said. Fred bounced up and down shouting Jake Jake Jake! I laughed and said okay!
We approached Fred's school, I kissed him on the head and said " See you later! Remember wait for Jake after school! Have a good day" He ran off to speak to his friends and I walked away.
