The car ride was silence. It felt awkward, knowing that this was considered, I don't know. A date.
The sunlight faded as it was replaced by the gentle moonlight. The trees gradually faded into city lights.
Cars drove by us and children were walking with their parents across the street. I smiled. Oh how I would love to have children of my own.
But not with Blake. Not with a monster like him.
I rolled my window down a slight bit and my smile grew as I heard the laughter of the children.
Their laughter, the most precious thing that I've heard ever since I moved here.
I look back at my mate to see him extremely concentrated on the road. His knuckles were white against the steering wheel. The light turned red, and he turned to face me. I blush when his eyes meet mine.
The glimpse of this intensity in his eyes, something undeniable. Something that could keep you under control. I am not going to be controlled, but he is already controlling me in a way that you just can't quite understand.
I quickly turn my head away. Why does he make me feel this way? I don't want to accept it, but it's like he's pushing me to accept these feelings for him.
I don't even know anymore. Do I hate him, or do I love him?
Why do things have to be so complicated? Why does he have to be so complicated?
The car slowly came to a stop as we reached this restaurant and found a parking spot.
The car engine turned off and we stayed in the car, just staring at the void space in front of us. I turned over to Blake to see him staring out the window. Does he recognize someone?
"Alex, come here." He said as he looked over to me. Why would he say that?
I move over, closer to him to see through the window. "Wha-" He cut me off by placing his lips on mine. He started kissing me out of nowhere. What is the meaning of this? One moment he hates me and now he loves me.
Okay, love is a strong word.
I couldn't help but kiss back. He placed his hand on my cheek as he pulled me closer as I placed my hand on my chest. Heat soared through my body as the kiss deepened.
He pulled me closer as we continued to kiss passionately. Our lips moved in sync. He bit my lower lip, making me gasp. He then pulled away, his lips still leaving an imprint on mine as both of us were gasping for breath.
"Let's go." He said, as if nothing happened. I was left in the car stunned until I finally had the courage to get out.
He held out his hand. I hesitated at first, but then I placed my hand on his. We then walked into the restaurant as everyone looked up.
Eyes were on the both of us and whispers escaped into the room. Did they see....
Oh no.
I'm going to kill him. He walks up to the front counter, intertwining his fingers with mine.
"Reservation for Blake Hayes." He said coldly as the woman quickly looked for our reservations.
"Oh yes, Alpha Hayes. This way." She said quietly as she picked up two meneus and led us to our table, which was all the way in the center of the restaurant.
Out of all places...
She placed our meneus on the table as Blake came to pull out my seat.
"Thank you." I said quietly. All he did was nod.
