The screams could be deafening if the band wasn’t used to it. It seems that wherever they went these days all that followed were screaming teenaged girls. None of them really were bothered by it anymore but today Michael just couldn’t deal with it. As soon as they were given the okay Michael stormed for the tour bus while the other boys confusingly stared his way but were quickly distracted by the swarm of girls screaming at them to take pictures and sign autographs.

Michael really had no idea what was up recently he just wasn’t feeling happy. So instead of faking a smile and greeting fans he hid in his bunk and started playing Pokémon on his Nintendo DS. After a few moments the other boys come rushing in and shut the door immediately heading Michael’s direction.

“Dude, what the hell was that the girls were asking for you out there. Why did you run in here?” Calum said holding out his arms questioning Michael.

Michael rolled his eyes and said, “I don’t feel to well man.”

“Well its no excuse you have fans out there you could have at least taken a picture with a few of the girls.”

Michael ignored Calum and continued playing his game but as soon as the bus took off he went to one of the bus windows. Opening the window he plastered a smile on his face and waved goodbye to the girls screaming in response. He was exhausted by how much work it was to always be in the spotlight. The more he thought of it the more he thought he was an idiot because not many people get this chance. Not many people have a chance to do what they love with their best friends. He watched as the girls grew smaller and smaller the longer the bus drove until they were out of sight. He know felt horrible for not saying hi to some of the fans and giving all of three seconds to take a picture that would make them so happy.

Michael groaned and sat next to Ashton, “Why am I such an asshole. I feel really bad not going and talking to some fans. They really do mean a lot to me.”

Ashton patted Michael on the shoulder,  “It’s alright dude, we all have our off days. Just don’t let it become a reoccurring theme.”

Michael sat there and thought of how much they meant to him. He wish he could repay them all every single one for making his dreams come true. He wanted to sit down with each fan and tell them how much he loved them and thank you but knew he could never do that and it sucked.

Michael pulled out his phone and tweeted, “I love you guys, I hope you know that.” After that he watched all the positive, some negative, replies to his tweet. Thousands of I love you’s and he had an idea of how he could do something for fans. From there he dialed the number of the record label.

 “Hey Frank”

“Yeah, I was wondering could you guys send some fanmail to the next venue I want to reply to some fans.”

“Alright, yeah I’m fine thank you.”

A few days later the band arrived in Chicago this time, like the last few cities, Michael got off the tour bus and took pictures and signed autographs until one of his band mates had to drag him into the hotel or venue they were at.

Arriving at this venue he was greeted by a young woman holding a bag. “Hello, I was told to give these to you, you wanted to replied to some fans. That’s really sweet.” She smiled at him and Michael thanked her and found the closest couch so he could dive in.

Calum caught up to him and mocked the girls’ response, “That’s really sweet of you Michael. I thought you were punk rock.”

Michael ignored him and started reading the first letter.

Michael replied to about fifteen letters in the last few hours. His hand cramping from all the writing. Majority of the letters were filled with the different variations of the same three sentences: “I love you so much Michael! You’re such an inspiration! Follow me!”

He looked at the clock and saw he had just enough time before rehearsals to read one more. He never knew it would mean so much to him.
