Lucy's POV

It was the Hanami festival. Me and Natsu were sitting against a cherry blossom tree that was fully bloomed. The others were playing bingo while Natsu and I were sitting in a peaceful silence. The others were drinking and having fun. I was enjoying sitting next to Natsu. It was calming and warm. "why don't you go join them Lucy?" I look at him. "nah, I rather enjoy this silence." "Everyone is practically screaming, you call this silence?" "You think I haven't gotten used to this?" Natsu nods. "good point." I smile and close my eyes as I lean back. "You look peaceful" I nod. "Yeah, aren't you enjoying it?" I hear Natsu's head thump against the tree. "Yeah I am. I want to fight with Gray but." I open my eyes and look at him. "But what?"

Natsu looks at me with a weird look in his eyes. "I want to spend it with you" I smile lightly. "Why with me?" Natsu smiles softly. "Because this is your first time seeing it, well besides the time you were sick." I smile. "Thanks, I wouldn't want to spend it with anyone else" Natsu looks at the ground with a soft pink on his cheeks. "What about Levy?" I tilt my head as I continue to look at him. "No, besides Levy-chan has Gajeel" Natsu chuckles. "Who would want to spend Hanami with Iron-head?" I giggle. "Levy-chan I guess"

"Why not with Gray or Loke or anyone else, why me?" I grab Natsu's cheeks to make him look at me. "Natsu, Gray has Juvia and I am not suicidal. Loke is flirting with literally every girl in town. Then you, my best friend, would be here by himself. Especially since Happy is with Carla. I am not pitying you because I'm in the same boat as you are. Do you not want me here?" Natsu puts his hands on mine. "That's not what I meant, but I-" "Hey you two, come on! The trees are about to change!" I wave at Mira "Alright!" Me and Natsu walk over to the others. Then everyone counts down. "THREE....TWO....ONE....ZERO!" the cherry blossom trees turn into rainbows. "Beautiful" I look at Natsu. "They are" "That's not what I meant" "Then wha-"

Natsu grabbed my face and kissed him! I blush then close my eyes and kiss him back. The kiss was short and gentle. We pull back blushing. Natsu puts a stray hair behind my ear. "You're beautiful"
