"Come on Mathias!! You're so slow!" The (h/c) haired girl called down. Mathias looked up the trunk of the tree to be met with bright (e/c) eyes filled with childish giddiness. "Oh yeah! I'll show ya' slow, slowpoke!" The Dane reached for a close branch and started to climb the old oak tree in the half-empty park. The sudden fast pace of the Danish man surprised the girl as she squealed excitedly. "I'm coming for ya' (Y/n)!" He shouted teasingly. "Nooo! He's going to kidnap me!!" You yelled back. "Save me Berwald!!" You yelled. The head of the Swede snapped towards the direction of his name being called. At seeing you trying to climb the large tree to "escape" the Dane's reach cracked a small smile on his face. "B' careful (Y/n)." He called out. The other men in the group just chuckled at watching you and the childish Dane have fun together. "You would never guess that they're grown adults." Tino commented. "Not with the way they act, ja." Emil said, a slight annoyed yet amused face showing.
The Finnish man sighed and sat down. "It's so nice to finally get out of the house and do something." He commented. Lukas nodded. "Ja. It's been a while since we've done something like this." Everyone nodded in agreement. "Almost three years, right?" Tino asked. Everyone kind of looked down. "Ja. Just abo't." Berwald answered. They stared at the peaceful scenery around them. Despite the giggles and jokes heard from (Y/n) and Mathias, it was a pretty quiet day out.
"So yesterday, Emil.... What happened?" Tino asked, disturbing the silence. The boy sighed. "It's a long story. But I guess I just found out why she might have left the way she did." They looked curious but decided not to ask, not wanting to bring up memories they didn't want to remember. This is a fun time. No need to ruin such a good time.
"AAAAAAAAH!!! MATHIAS. STOP!!!" The sudden yelling caught the attention of the group. "Oh come on, (Y/n)! It's just a tiny spider!" "GET THAT AWAY FROM ME." "But it's cute!" "NO ITS NOT. IT'S DISGUSTING AND TERRIFYING!!" The laughter of Mathias rang out as he held out his hand where the tiny spider was sitting calmly. The girl on the other hand, not so calm and sitting. She bounced on the branch to try to escape from the Dane as he sat on the other branch next to her. "Haha!! Yer' such a baby (Y/n)!" "No I'm not!!! Spiders are disgusting and you know it!!"
As the branch bounced under her, a quiet cracking could be heard. "Hahah- wait... (Y/n) calm down. (Y/N)!!!! THE BRANCH. STOP!!" Oblivious to the situation, the girl kept her panicking, sending the branch crashing to the earthy floor, the girl following shortly behind it.
"(Y/N)!!!!! NO!!!" Everyone shouted at once. Each member of the group scurried as fast as they could to try to catch the falling girl, sending all of the picnic supplies flying. But it was all in vain.
They were too far away to ever dream of actually catching the girl, and with the speed and distance from where she fell? The property of velocity and physics were not on her side.
Before the girl could even let out a scream, the air was knocked out of her by her own realization of her intimate relationship with death itself.
That is.... until she felt something soft....
The female opened her wide, (e/c) eyes to be met with piercing red ones.
The man was panting hard, obviously from running to her aid and from the adrenaline in his veins.
She looked up, her eyes completely taken back at staring at such familiar looking eyes. She couldn't help but think, 'I've seen this person before...'
"Are jou okay, leibe?" He asked. His thick, German accent present. "Y-yeah. I am now. Thank you..." The man set her down gently and ruffled her hair. "Jou gave us quite the scare!" He said, his smile present on his face. "Gilbert!!!! Gilbert!!! Is she okay?!?!" Tino asked. He quickly made his way to the two people, along with the other blond men. "Ja Ja. She's fine. The awesome me came to save her!" He had a cocky grin adorning his sharp features making her giggle at his actions. Then realized the situation and guilt took over. "Thank you so much, sir, for saving my life. I'm so sorry." He looked over confused. "Don't be sorry! Jou didn't mean to!" He said. The girl could already tell that she liked this guy. "My name's (Y/n)." She said, extending her hand. He looked at it, a small frown on his face before a forced smile was shoved to the surface. "It's nice to meet Jou. My name is Gilbert."
