Trust nobody

Chapter 3

I hear a knock on the door and creep towards it slowly not being seen through the windows, "it's officer Peet" and I open the door. I motion for him to come in and he asks me exactly what happened. "I was playing with King in the water when the man called my name from shore, I've never seen him in my life and told king to be on gaurd, as we got up to the shore he was holding all my stuff, i asked him how he knew my name and why he was holding my stuff. He said he was my worst nightmare and how could he not know, he told me I had 7 missed calls from James and 3 from Alex and that he read my messages and said James was looking for me. He was going to give my stuff back but I told him to put it on the ground and let King smell it because he smelled like he was smoking something and looked stoned. he didn't bark so I picked up my stuff but then King wouldn't stop barking and wouldn't move away from the man, he told me to keep king under control and had some foul language in there also. I didn't do anything and he pulled a black Glock out and pointed it at me and that set King off, I got him enough distracted with king and discarded the gun to the street, I told king go and he attacked him for about 10 seconds and then we ran and took back roads" I said looking back at my parents to my brothers to officer Peet then to King who was sitting in front of me. "You did the right thing and I'm proud of you for discarding the gun, your Very lucky you had King by your side and good job on not letting anyone standards getting hurt" he says to me. My parents and brothers eyes are practically jumping out of their skull. The officer said "there was another witness who said they would speak to the sketch artist so for now your good and safe in your home". we said our goodbyes and thank you's to Peet and I ran up to my room and King followed me closely not letting me out of sight. I sat in my room and started shaking furiously. I was so scared because it's like he knew everything about me, he knew my brothers he knew me and now I'm scared to dear life that he will come again. my door opened to have a worried James who came and hugged me so right I felt like nothing could hurt me. He just held me until I stopped shaking and I told him how I was scared. "trust me, he's coming no where near you if you have King,me and Alex with you okay?" next to come in was Alex. Well this is unexpected and he came and gave me a hug. I told him I was okay but he didn't believe me. King got on my bed and he tucked me in and kissed me on the forehead and walked out my door.
