I read the note with tears streaming down my eyes. I didn't even realise Alex come up behind me, I knew he read it because his hand balled into fists and I could see the whites of his knuckles. I got in the passenger seat and made him drive us home but that's not where we went. He drove us to the police station and immediately asked for officer Peet and he burst through his office door and slapped the note on his table. His eyes went wide and pulled my brother aside. I could hear every word officer Peet and it scared me even more.
look Alex I don't care if your close with her or not, I don't want you to let her out of your sight for the next week reason being our witness who talked to the sketch artist clarified the man he saw as Ronald Borer he has a criminal record of mass murders and sex offending. We will have people watching your house at night and we have men with your older brother at campus. If he comes around we will know hopefully but I can't garuntee you at school. I came downstairs once I was done and dinner was ready. I didn't really feel like eating at all and dismissed myself early and went back up to my room and snuggled up to King and went to bed or I thought I was. James came into my room and woke me up but I pretended like I was still up so we could talk. He told me Alex told him about the note and said he wouldn't let that creep come near me. I went to bed with him kissing my forehead and shutting my lights off
