Dear Wafa,
It's already thirteen years (and a day) since I have last seen you. To think that I am now thirteen years older (and wiser? I hope!) than on that fateful day...is quite overwhelming. It's like the years pass in a blink of the eye. I wonder how many more till we meet again. I'm aware that my countdown began the moment I was born and all this rushing forth finally leads to the one final reality called death. And that's why, even though I have an important exam in two days and am really pressed for time, I decided to write to you today. What kind of a friend would I be if I did not say one more prayer today to be united with you in Jannah when the time comes?
Your ever faithful friend,
Nasoo.
