Nightmare...

Charlie wakes up the next morning and Leo is asleep fully on top of him. Charlie kisses the top of Leo's head and nudges him off of him. Leo curls up to Charlie again and shivers. Charlie gets up and closes the window. Leo feels the empty space for Charlie and doesn't find him. He starts crying and shaking. Charlie climbs back into bed and lays next to Leo. Charlie hugs Leo and comforts him. "It's ok lion. I'm here" Charlie whispers to Leo. Leo calms down and snuggles into Charlie neck. About an hour later, Leo wakes up wrapped in Charlie's arms. He looks up at Charlie who is on his phone. He nudges his phone with his head. Charlie puts his phone down and looks at Leo and smiles. "Hey lion" Charlie says. "Hey" Leo whispers. "Hungry?" Leo asks. Charlie shakes his head no. Leo nods slightly. "Can we just lay in bed all day and cuddle?" Charlie asks as he wraps both arms around Leo. "We have to go get jobs today remember?" Leo says pushing Charlie off him. Charlie rolls his eyes. "Fine" He says to Leo. They both get up and get ready to leave. They go back to the shelter where the bought their kittens. They walk up to the front desk. "Hello, how can I help you boys today?" The lady at the front desk asks. "Hi, were here to see if we can get jobs here" Charlie replies. They lady goes through some paper work on her desk then looks at Leo and Charlie again. "Sure. You'll start by working Monday, Wednesday, and Friday every week for a month. After that, we'll see about Monday through Friday. After another month or so, we'll see about Saturday and Sunday" the lady at the front desk says. They nod. "Thank you so much" Leo says. She nods. "You start next week" the lady says. They nod and thank her again and leave. "Can we go home and just cuddle now?" Charlie pouts. Leo rolls his eyes. "Yes Charlie we can go home and cuddle now". They both laugh and go home. Charlie picks up Leo and runs upstairs with him. He throws Leo on the bed and jumps next to him. They lay there out of breath. Charlie rolls over and cuddles Leo close. He puts his head on Leo's chest and laughs a little. "Why are you so clingy today?" Leo asks stroking Charlie's head. "Because you let me be" Charlie answers snuggling up to Leo more. They both laugh. They get up and change then get back in the same positions. Yuki and Ginger join them on the end of the bed. Charlie ends up falling asleep. Leo runs his fingers through Charlie's hair and scrolls through his phone. He sees Ginger stretch and cuddle with Yuki. Charlie buries his face in Leo's neck. Leo puts his phone down and traces Charlie's tattoo on his chest. Charlie grabs Leo's hand and intertwines their fingers. Leo smiles and kisses Charlie cheek. Leo ends up falling asleep. Leo wakes up and it's 4pm. Charlie is still fast asleep on Leo's chest. He tries to push Charlie off, but it doesn't work. Charlie snuggles up more and tears stream down his face. "Baby....what's wrong?" Leo asks as if Charlie was awake. He starts shaking a little. "Babe?" Leo says. Whimpers escape  Charlie as he holds Leo tight. "Charlie!" Leo says loudly. Charlie wakes up literally terrified. He sits up really fast and breathes heavy. Leo sits up and hugs him. Charlie hugs him back whining and whimpering. "Shhhh it's ok baby I'm here" Leo whispers trying to comfort Charlie. "He's gonna kill me!!" Charlie yells. "Who baby?" Leo asks. He doesn't answer. He just sits there whimpering and shaking. "No ones gonna hurt you babe I'm here" Leo says. Thunder goes off outside and Charlie gets scared. "AAAHHHH!" Charlie screams. Leo covers Charlie's mouth. "SHUT UP ALREADY!!" Leo yells. Charlie stops and looks at Leo scared. He stands up and walks towards the door backwards. He gets to the door and runs out towards the living room. Leo runs after him and tackles him into the couch. He pins Charlie down and sits on him. "Please don't hurt me! I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry" Charlie repeats as he closes his eyes. Leo smashes his lips onto Charlie's. He pulls away leaving Charlie speechless and still scared. "I would never hurt you. I'm sorry I yelled at you" Leo replies. He stands up and walks into the bedroom leaving Charlie on the couch. He crawls into bed and starts crying. "Even my own boyfriend is scared of me" He vents to himself. Charlie comes walking in slowly. "Why are you crying?" He asks. Leo sits up and holds his arms out. Charlie walks over and sits on Leo's lap. He puts his head on Leo's shoulder and intertwines his fingers with Leo's. "Do you wanna tell me about your nightmare?" Leo asked. Instantly Charlie started crying. "We don't have to" Leo quickly said. "No I want to" Charlie replied wiping his face. "My dad was really abusive when I was younger. That's one of the reasons why my anxiety and depression is so bad. He would come home drunk and beat all of us. Including my mom and younger sister. I would have to sit there, not able to move, and watch them get beat for no reason" Charlie answered. Leo hugged Charlie and let him cry into his neck. It was about 10pm when Charlie fell asleep in Leo's arms. Leo rolled him over and laid him down. Charlie groaned. He wrapped his arms around Leo and held him close. Leo smiled and laid down to cuddle with Charlie. Leo fell asleep after a little while.
