School starts tomorrow. Dad was passed out on the couch and I was in my room getting ready for bed. Beeb. I pick up my phone

Lukas-Hey baby Clash am I still taking you to school in the morning?

Lukas was Axle’s best friend, he was two grade younger than Axle. Axle asked him to look out for me since he's not here.

Me-Yea

Lukas just got back from a trip he took with his family. If he found out that I needed him and he wasn't here for me he would be heartbroken. No one knew and no one suspected anything. I was that good at hiding it. I got up early the next morning. After taking a shower I blow dried my hair. This summer I made a pact with myself to this school year to become Bella Clash not Nick’s or Axle's little sister. So the first day was gonna be amazing. I covered up the bruises and scars with special effect make. I put on black eyeliner that made my gray eyes pop and and painted my full lips dark red. I slipped on a pair of black ripped skinny jeans that hugged me just right. I put on a gray crop top that made my b-cup look like a c-cup. On top of that went a blue flannel. I changed ordinary belly ring for this beautiful dream catcher one. I pulled on my black converse. Grabbed my book bag, sunglasses, phone and went to eat breakfast while I waited on Lukas go get here.

By the time he got here I had finished eating and had time to make him something knowing he forgot to eat breakfast. After shutting the car door I was greeted with, “Holy shit, baby Clash what happened?” Lukas was around six feet tall with a toned athletic body. He had the most piercing cobalt blue eyes and hair that was so black in the right light you could see blue. As I stared into those eyes I saw a bunch of emotions. For some reason that pissed me off “I did what I had to, too survive while you and my fucking brothers left me here! Alone.” I yelled at him and realised I had let it slip a little. ”What do you mean you did it to survive?” He looked at me “Nothing never mind. Here I made you something to eat, I know you always forget to eat breakfast.” I handed him the food. “Bella, talk to me.” He pleaded with me “Lukas can we just get to school.” He stared the car. When we arrived at school he stopped me from getting out when he put a hand on my shoulder, “Hey baby Clash…” he stopped and stared at my exposed neck and shoulder. I look to see what caught his eye and saw that I had missed a spot when I was covering up the bruises dad left on me last night.” Bella who did this to you?” I shrugged my shoulder to get him to let go so I could button up the flannel. “Don't worry about it.” I quickly got up and headed towards campus. Leaving Lukas alone with his thoughts in the car. How could I be so stupid. I should have checked before I left the house.

I was able to cover up the bruises when I got to the bathroom. The flannel was unbuttoned for the rest of the day. And guys started to notice me. By time the bell rang to start third period guys were rushing to sit by me. “Hi I'm James. You know there's football practice after school today and I wouldn't mind of you were there to cheer me on.” He was a bit taller then my 5’6. He had his black hair cut short on the sides and back but longer on top. Fuck boy is what came to mind when I looked at him. His eyes where such a dark brown they looked black but they looked so good with his dark caramel skin. Latino. He didn't know who I am. I'm at every practice and game. “Oh? I'll have to see but I don't think I can make it.” Some of the guys who knew me snickered. “James Kopaz no flirting while I'm talking.” James turned a little red in the cheeks while everyone was laughing. School went by super fast. I was always the first person on the field because I always had off-role the last class of the day. I had on running shorts and a matching sports bra but the burn scar on my back very noticeable so I had to put on my practice jersey before anyone came. “You know you can't have the piercings in at practice.” I looked up from where I was sitting “I know Coach Clash.” He shook his head “You know I'm your Uncle, too right.” I smiled up at him. “I know. Any word from Nick or Axle?” I asked hopefully. He shook his head and i nodded. “Oh and your dad is letting us use the house tonight for the team dinner. I mean since your house is huge.” I nodded. “Happy birthday, hon.” I just smiled.

It took five minutes for some of the guys to get to the field. I knew which one was James because he wasn't looking at the field but at the bleachers. I creeped up behind him “ Looking for someone?” He jumped and turned to look at me. “So not busy after all?” All the guys in earshot started laughing. “What's so funny?” He asked. I just walked away shaking my head. I was laughing instead of paying attention to what was happening around me. When I got lifted into the air “I got you now baby Clash!” For some reason all of Axle's old team members called me that. I let out a girly squeal “Mark if you don't put baby Clash down I can't protect you from her revenge.” Lukas warns him. Mark puts me down but doesn't look happy about it. Someone touched my hair, turned to find it was Mark. Mark was over six feet tall and looked like he belonged in a gym. He was big but he was so gently and sweet. He had beautiful sandy blonde hair that was longer in the front so he could style it. Oh he's eyes were a deep hazel with little gold specks. “Baby Clash what did you do?” He look at me like I was a different person. “Mark its still me. I just cut my hair and got a few piercings, that's all my still me. Come on let's get ready for practice.” I turned and started walking when I noticed Lukas was still looking at me. “No I don't think you are.” Lukas said quietly. I kept going till I got to my stuff. I took of my running shoes to put on my cleats. “What you doing?” Asked James. “Well I can't practice with these.” I took off my piercings and set them in my shoes. He just stood there looking at me like a idiot. “Well it's clear that you're new here. I'm Bella Clash i play halfback. My brother Nick was quarterback. My other brother, Axle was a linebacker. And my Uncle is the varsity head coach.” I walked away leaving him there.
