"Tell me how my father died." Do I really want to know this, should I be asking these questions. Those were the thoughts in my head as I asked him.
"Well, your father and I were partners in everything we did, we were best friends, if he wanted to do something I'd be right next to him and vice versa. Our biggest dream was to be heroes, to save people and be recognized for our good deeds. When him and I got in UA it was one of the happiest moments of our lives, everything was going well for us. Eventually he found a woman who loved helping people as much as him but sadly she didn't have a quirk so she was unfit to be a hero and went to become a psychologist. There couldn't be a better pairing then those two, so a couple years after we graduated and started our hero agency, they got married and had a baby boy and looked just like his father, he never was as happy as when he held you in his hands. But not everyone was happy with your parents. A super villain that your mother tried to reform, fell madly in love with her. One night when your father and I were patrolling, he broke out of the asylum and tracked down your mother, he had gone completely insane and murdered your mother. Before she died she called us we rushed over but we were too late save her, but you were still there crying, the villain cocked his gun and aimed it at you, your father jumped in front of you to stop the bullet and died. We couldn't find the villain we look everywhere, I was losing sleep because I was so angry at the man."
I couldn't believe it, my parents risked his life for me. I was crying so hard everyone came in to check on us. "What's wrong son?" (MN) asked. "I told him the truth, (MN)." (FN) explained. "Oh baby, I'm so sorry." She then started to hug me. What do I say I just learnt my real parents died protecting me and that the people raising me are my aunt and uncle. With nothing to say I just looked at the ground. "(MN), do you mind taking my parents and (SN) into another room and explain everything to them." (FN) said trying his hardest not to cry anymore, then they leave. "D-do you mind if I keep calling you dad, I know you're really my uncle but" he cut me off by hugging me. "Yes, it's alright as long as it helps."
"So my father was a hero? What was his quirk?" I ask trying to lighten the mood. "You're father had both the most useful and flawed quirk I've ever seen, basically he got super strength, agility and reflexes at night but during the day they were weakened. His hero name was Moon Knight, actually I think the design for his costume is still here." He then left to go find it.
(SN) walked in and it looks like she's been crying. "So I'm guessing they told you." "Yep." She answers coldly. "Look (SN), I know I'm technically your cousin but I was wonder if I could still call you my little sister." "Of course you dummy!" She yells with tears falling down from her eye and hugs me. She must really be sad if she's hugging me, she hasn't hugged me since she was three. Mom walks in looking scared probably because she heard (SN) yell. "Hey I already got permission to call her my sister and call dad dad so am I allowed to call you mom?" "Sure, son." She says as she starts hugging me too. Suddenly dad walks down with a big box filled presumably my fathers things.
"Hey are we having a group hug without me?" He then lifts all three of us in a bone crushing hug. "I thought you said you were looking for my father's costume design." "Oh I did, and all the merchandise we were going to sell of him, we got Moon knight posters, PJs, hats, socks and t shirts." I look at the poster and see complex suit with a simple colour scheme.

So this was my father, from now on I'm going to become the best hero I can be, not because told me too or to support a friend but to make my father proud. "Hey dad I know we were planning on staying longer but can we leave tomorrow so I can train for UA?" Dad seemed to be in deep thought like this was the toughest decision he's ever had to make. "Sure, but you have to explain it to grandma." Crap! That's what he was thinking about, grandma will guilt trip but I need to train. "Deal."
After a long debate with grandma and a tough sleep on an even tougher bed we started our trip home. Dad insisted that I carry everything into the car while giving him a piggyback ride to help develop muscles, but really he's just being lazy. My workout was twice as tiring as my and Kirishima's workout, every night I'd study even though I planned on using my second quirk to help me, being smart without it is just as useful. Since we kept my fathers merchandise, I put his poster next to dad in my room as a daily reminder to keep going.
"Alright, it's exam day, time to show off my training to the world!" I went downstairs to see my family with a huge breakfast. They must really be excited, they only make huge breakfasts for holidays like Christmas. After a delicious breakfast I changed into a (FC) track suit for the physical part of the exam.
I know it's cheating and all but, I really need to pass this so I'm going to use my super intelligence for the written exam. I thought as I walked into the huge UA building. The test wasn't very difficult, it was mostly advanced level math and science, basic english and questions about morals.
Now I was sitting listening to Present Mic explain the physical exam. Alright destroy robots get points then get into UA pretty basic stuff, thought UA was a prestigious hero school, there's no way they'll judge our potential by our strength alone. I was cut out of thought by some tall dude. "Excuse me sir, but I have a question." The guy declares. "You're on the air, what is your question?" Mic asks, sounding like a radio host. "Well, the flier shows four robots, while your presentation only showed three, did UA make a mistake because I find that highly Shameful on their part, furthermore, you with unkept hair mumbling, I find that h distracting, if you're here to gawk at heroes I suggest you leave immediately." Wow he's such an elitist snob, what did that green haired kid do to him? "Thank you for your question, no we did not make a mistake, but that robot is worth zero points, he's more of an obstacle than anything and there's only one for each battle arena, it's suggested to run away and find robots with higher value, that's not to say they're impossible to beat, simply it's pointless." "Ah! I see. Thank you for answering my question." "Now as a gift to you all, the school motto, the great hero Napoleon Bonaparte once said 'true heroism consists in being superior to the ills of life' PLUS ULTRA! Break a leg, everyone.
