Here's my first Soulmate AU one-shot! I always enjoy reading these kind, so I thought "why not make one myself?" I found this AU idea in one of my school notebooks...? I guess I wrote it down during one of my classes or something but who knows? 😂😂 I'm using one of my OTPs for this one because I thought it would be pretty cute XD (I'm really sorry if you dislike this ship uwu). Anyways, hope you enjoy!

[Outside of the Killing Game]-The Coloured-Eyed Soulmate AU-
All children are born with dull, gray coloured eyes. It isn't until you and your soulmate both look each other in the eyes that the true colour of your irises appear. They also illuminate a bit every time you're around your soulmate until you have your first kiss with them.3rd Person POV
Everyday was a dull day for Mukuro. She would go to school, take her daily classes, and then head back home with her twin sister Junko. While Junko was a loud, popular, and talkative girl, Mukuro was quite the opposite. Her appearance was rather average, she was quiet, reserved, and had little to no friends. She was rarely known by anyone in the school, so therefore her school life was pretty boring.Worst of all, it seemed like almost the entire school population had found their soulmates as soon as they entered Hope's Peak. Even her sister found her own soulmate, and wouldn't stop bragging about it to her. But when Mukuro asked her who it was, Junko said she wouldn't say a single word about who it was until she herself discovered her own soulmate. It was a pretty big pain for Mukuro to deal with everyday.
To be honest though, she was never really interested in the colour of her eyes since she was told they were probably going to be the same colour as Junko's. If that was the case, there was no point in having to find who her soulmate was. Well... she did want to find true love one day. As silly as it sounded, she hoped she could find someone that would love her.
The only thing that slightly made her days more interesting was a boy named Makoto Naegi. He attended almost all the same classes as her, and she silently admired him from afar. They hadn't had a chance to talk yet, but she knew he was a kind person. She wished that they could have a conversation one day, but her unfortunate shyness prevented that from ever occurring.

Mukuro glanced over toward's Makoto's desk, which was only a few desks away from her own. He was engaged in a conversation with the Ultimate Detective. Mukuro had to admit, Kirigiri was flawless in every way possible. She was intelligent, beautiful, and very kind despite her serious demeanor. Of course she was a much better fit for Makoto, and the thought pained Mukuro's heart.
Mukuro's POV
While I was watching them from afar, I noticed something very strange. Both Kirigiri and Makoto had dull, gray eyes, the same ones as mine. That must mean that neither of them had found their soulmates yet. They couldn't be each other's soulmate, because they rapidly made eye contact throughout their entire conversation.A small ray of hope formed inside me. "Maybe Makoto could be my soulmate," I whispered quietly to myself hoping no one would hear. But of course, the one and only Junko Enoshima who was sitting in front of me heard every single word.
"Oh ho ho, did I hear you correctly sis?" Junko smirked at me. I immediately regret saying that.
"It's nothing Junko, you shouldn't be concerned about it," I replied, hoping she would drop the subject. But knowing Junko, she would just keep digging and digging to get what she wanted.
"Y'know Mukuro, you shouldn't keep secrets from your twin sister," she pouted. "But oh my, are you into Makoto? I could totally set you up with him if you want since I'm super duper popular."
