"Does anyone else want any more pizza?" Catherine asks us for the third time. Except unlike the other times we all say no. Apparently the walk made us very hungry and we pretty much demolished three pizzas, minus a few slices."What is on the agenda for a sleepover?" Lacey asked Charlie as she got up to throw her and Logan's trash away. Don't ask me if they are dating because she refuses to tell me. Anytime I ask she just shrugs and changes the subject. I can't really say anything because when she asks me about Nick I do the exact same thing.
"Dinner: check. Now we can either watch a movie or go swimming." Charlie informs her.
"We can't swim, we just ate." Jay scoffs.
"True. But by the time we all get changed and the pool heats up, our food will be settled." Micah points out. She and I are pretty chill with one another. Turns out she has been trying to get a guy to like her and wanted Nicks help to make said guy jealous. Nick refused to help her and she was forced to ask the guy out the old fashioned way. The guy liked her and they are dating but it's hard considering he is a freshman in college and she is still a senior. From what Micah has told us things are going well, and she always adds a wink at the end. So things must be going really well.
We all get up to go to our designated rooms to change. Lacey and I are sharing a room so we head there.
"What's the deal with you and Logan?" I ask Lacey while getting my bathing suit out of my bag. "And don't you dare shrug." I point a finger at her.
Lacey giggles as she heads into the bathroom with her bathing suit. "We may or may not be dating."
"What!" I screech.
Lacey pokes her head out from behind the door. "For how long?" I ask.
"Hmm...New Years Day." She says as if it isn't a big deal.
I gasp, "Lacey Anna Lodge! How dare you keep a secret from me for that long!"
Lacey rolls her green eyes at me, "It hasn't been that long. Just a month."
"Why didn't you tell me sooner?" I ask with a pout.
"I wanted to but I didn't know how you would react. You don't exactly like Logan." She tells me.
Okay, it's not that I don't like Logan, I just think he's a little too much. He is never serious, always joking. Yes, he is funny but there is just something about him that makes me wonder why Lacey would date him. Logan isn't the type of guy Lacey usually goes for. Then again, Nick isn't the type of guy I would go for.
I sigh, "Lacey, it doesn't matter what I think. If you like him then I will support your and his relationship. You're my bestie."
Lacey gives me a sincere smile, "Thanks Tay. Nick isn't so bad either. Are you two dating yet? Everyone at school seems to think so and everyone in those other rooms as well. Excluding Nick, maybe." She informs me.
I smile at that. "He hasn't officially asked me yet, I'm hoping soon. I mean we act like a couple, I honestly just want him to kiss me. The only time we kissed was when I was drunk and I barely remember it." I say.
Lacey exits the bathroom, "Well if he doesn't want to already kiss you then when he sees you in that bikini he will want to. Maybe even more." She winks at me.
