Friends are scarce, and worries are plenty
Of life's routine, I've grown so weary
Contentment replaced by thoughts so dreary
Inner demons try with all their might
They want so badly to reside within
With a constant reminder of regret and sin
But regardless of tides that reach the shore
Fears and failures, I won't keep score
My head, I'll hold high
My dreams won't die
Rationale is the sheep
Anxiety is the wolf
And the brain is the shepherd that knows whats authentic
Even when the heart is consumed by the synthetic
