Chapter Sixteen : "Losing apart of me" Katherine Carter ____•____
Ever studied so hard on a test that you stay up late for it and feel like freaking Einstein after? But then when you go take it and you fucking fail? That was me 5 minutes ago.
I was sitting on the edge mentally prepping myself for the scolding. But then he came and then my prepping goes to shit.
Here's how it went:
"Previously on Peter and Katherine screw the pooch, I told them to stay away from this. Instead they hacked into a multi billion dollar suit so you guys could sneak around behind my back doing the one thing I told you not to do." He said in a stern voice and it almost scared me.
I bit my tongue knowing we deserved this scolding for messing up a little, a lot, but we had good intentions.
We kept our backs towards him and Peters head hung low obviously hurt about all of this.
"Is everyone okay?" Peter asks and my heart breaks seeing him like this.
"No thanks to you." Stark says cold hearted and I bite my tongue harder.
Peter's head snaps back and my heart rate speeds up knowing he was going to snap.
"No thanks to me?" He asks and grabs his mask. He jumps off the edge onto Starks side and slowly walks towards him heated.
"Those weapons were out there and I tried to tell you about it but you didn't listen. None of this would have happened if you just listened to me!" Peter says raising his voice.
"Peter." I say grabbing his arm rubbing soothing circles on it.
He walked closer to him and said, "If you even cared you'd actually be here."
I let go of his arm and look at the Iron Man suit open up and out came Tony Stark.
He walked out and we backed up obviously surprised.
"I did listen kid." He says and runs his chin a little. "Who do you think called the FBI huh? Did you know I was the only one who believed in you? Everyone else thought I was crazy to recruit a 14 year old kid."
