helping newt to get to the bus station was the goal for both of them. even though thomas was very strong he couldn't carry newt alone all the way to bus station.
newt had bruises in his face and probably in almost every inch of his body, and in a honest way thomas felt guilty for what happened to newt. he couldn't help to think what would had happen if he wasn't there watching and helped the boy to get up when alby was gone. probably the poor bruised boy needed to get back from the school to his house all by himself.

each step felt like hell to newt. the pain felt like a stab to him in all his body and nothing could stop it from going. he was really thankful that thomas was there to help him, even though that he bullied him last week but he honestly didn't care, the pain he was feeling was enough to deal at the moment.

after a few minutes that felt like hours to newt they arrived to the bus station. thomas didn't know what to do and he was having an internal battle between leaving the boy to go by himself or help him get home. just thinking about taking newt home make him blush.

sitting in the bench of the bus station they both were waiting for the bus to arrive a huge awkward silence felt on them. neither of them wanted to talk about anything at all; newt knew anything he says is going to affect him in a way and thomas was way to nervous to say something to the boy.

"w-why are you e-ev-even help-ping me?" the blonde boy asked in a very weak voice that made thomas heart hurt.

"why not? you're hurt so i wanted to help you out" thomas said looking at newt straight in the eyes. newt just nodded not know what to say.  both of them knew there was a really weird tension between them.

after another long time of waiting the bus finally came to the station. thomas helped newt to get on the bus and in the end he decided that he would help newt get to his house. after leaving newt in a seat almost on the back of the bus thomas went to pay the bus driver for both of them.

thomas slowly went back to the seat next to newt, he realized that it was pretty late because not many people where on the bus. when he reached the seat next to newt he sat down carefully so he would hurt newt.
newt that had his head rested on the window didn't noticed that thomas was seating next to him, he was to focused on his own thoughts.

thomas was freaking out he couldn't believe that he was setting next to the cutest boy in the whole world and he didn't want to accept that he might be gay, but that was the least of his worries right now, because how will his mom and brother react to him maybe being gay? he had a odd relationship with his mom, she was never really there for him or his little brother and each time that she was around, she probably was high or drunk to remember that she had two sons. and then thomas realized that he hadn't told his name to newt and now he felt really stupid for forgetting that.

"so i never really told you my name, i'm tho-" but before he could finish his sentence newt said:

"yeah i k-know who yo-you are thomas."

and thomas just wanted the earth to swallow him because once again he forgot that he was a "popular" kid at school.

"i'm sorry for what i did last week, i-i" thomas didn't know what else to say he wanted to apologize and he did but what else could he say to make the boy to trust him more.

"it's o-okay don't worry that much, i know how alby treats other people that don't do what he says. you seem like a really nice guy thomas, i don't understand why you follow alby."

thomas blushed a deep red color and looked down to his shoes, newt turned around to see him and a small grin formed in his face seeing the reaction of thomas, and newt thought he looked beautiful flushed.
