Chapter 14: The Git gets a Shiner... And popcorn

"Let's go visit the infirmary, I heard that ♪Gavyn♪ is there," Haley teased Jadyth.

"I can see why you're a Slytherin," Jadyth muttered.

"I'm just going to pretend that I didn't hear that..." Haley trailed off. Suddenly they stopped abruptly. Haley turned a light shade of pink as she heard this.

"JAMES HUGGED A GIRL! JAMES HUGGED A GIRRRL!"

"Oh Merlin, I am going to hex your idiot brother into oblivion. You wouldn't mind, would you?" Haley asked Jade.

"Not as long as I have popcorn!" Jade's smirk would have made any Slytherin proud... And a bit wound up (Space here, is that correct? I'm not British but Hogwarty people are so yeah (annoyed is the meaning..?)) because a Ravenclaw did it better.

"You and your popcorn!" Haley laughed as she 'poofed up' a bowl of popcorn.

Jade giggled "This is going to be hilarious!"

Cole continued to prance (yes prance) down the halls after a bright red James screaming the same bloody sentence over and over until a certain Slytherin decided to make her house proud. "JAMES HUGGED A-"

He was cut off by said girl stepping in front of him, a murderous glare on her face. "You were saying?" There was a dangerous tone to Haley's voice, one normally heard in the voice of a Slytherin seeking revenge. Then again she was a Slytherin, a fact all too often forgotten or ignored by most.

Cole paled. "H-hey Haley... *gulp* What are you doing here?" His voice getting softer by the word. He then saw his sister come around the corner with a bowl of popcorn. That was when he knew he was about to be subjected to humiliation at the hands of a 12 year old girl.

Haley cracked her knuckles. "Oh nothing much, just teaching a cocky git why I was placed in Slytherin!" She proceeded to give him a shiner worthy of the one James' grandmother gave his grandfather when they were young. Within minutes he was being pinned, face first, on the floor, by a girl two inches shorter than him and only slightly more than half his weight! This was going to be a very eventful year indeed...
