VALERIES POV
My parents sat near the front of the Limo, giving me my space at the back. I flipped open my mirror to check if my makeup was still okay. I placed the mirror back into my purse and laid down on the back seats, Alejandros house wasn't far away from ours.
The ride was rough and extremely uncomfortable, because leading towards Al's neighbourhood were cobbled paths. Which were undoubtedly annoying.
As soon as we parked the driver rushed over to help me out, " gracias" i told him before i grabbed my purse and met up with my parents inside.
Once i got inside i was immediately swarmed with greetings from Mr and Mrs Tapia. They pulled me into a tight hug and i placed my hands on both of their shoulders. As the hug broke apart i heard Alejandro glidding down the stairs, he wore a white long sleeve shirt and black trousers with black shoes and a gucci watch.
"Valerie," he squealed "you look stunning mi amor" i grinned as he ran over to me and gave me a peck on my cheek. We all walked to the dining room and i was presented with a beautiful dinner. Placed in front of me was a delicious slow roasted pork dish, "Cochinita Pibil!" Mrs Tapia smiled.
"Lucianna this smells divine" my mother said as she inhaled the fumes of her meal.
After a few more compliments we all enjoyed our food, Al was sitting right next to me, he glanced my way and i saw a small smile across his lips. "So Mateo" Mr Tapia said to my father "im sure Valerie knows our plans. Immediately my face fell into a pout and i put down my fork and knife. Alejandro noticed this and frowned to himself. "Yes, she does. Valerie would you like to say something?" Madre asked. I didn't want to say anything but i also didn't want to be disrespectful. These people were my family and we all grew up together. I cleared my throat and stood up, Al's eyes met mine and i gave him a weak smile.
"Its not ideal, but I understand that it needs to be done. I know how important this is for all of you and Bemex oil! I know that Alejandro and i share a special bond and I can't wait to explore if there's anything else during our marriage" i looked around the room and saw that everyone's eyes were glistening with excitement, I could tell they were all so proud of me.
ALEJANDRO'S POV
A massive grin appeared on my face as Valerie made her speech.
