Hiccups poem

Today i wake
To fathers teary red eyes

"Son, thank odin youre awake again"
Awake another day, i just wish we didnt have to deal with our pain

Breakfast, and lunch
Slurping and crunch
Hungry am i
Today is a good day

Calm am i
Because things feel right

The boy was in my dreams
For many i wish to see
But i know its calm before the storm
And my blanket is not so warm

My eyes attend the presence of the nurse
Here to give me some pills, maybe i wont feel any worse
But seeing him again, something about him

I awake to my father crying
To reach the end of the day
With so many words to say
He falls asleep in his chair
And i rest my head on my pillow
Eyes covered by my messy hair
The breeze through my window
Falters and halts
I look to see
The boy behold

Today,

today is a good day
