"I don't think you should go."

"Tyler stop, I'm fine. My fever is gone." You said, rolling your eyes at Tyler who looked at you with a worried expression.

"Ya, your fever is gone but you said you were still feeling dizzy, and I don't want the game to be too much for you." He followed you into the closet, where you were picking out your outfit for the game.

"I'm okay, I promise." You turned to look at him, taking his hands in yours. "Plus, I want to go. I miss going to the games, it isn't the same on TV." He just gave you a look. "I'm going no matter what, so you better get on board." You called as you walked out the closet, heading for the bathroom to take a quick shower.

"(Y/N)!" You heard a familiar voice call, as you turned around you shrieked.

"Katie!" You said pulling her into a quick hug. Over the years you had become close to Jamie's girlfriend.

"Oh my god, I haven't seen you in forever. I heard you were sick, how are you feeling?" She asked you as you both took your seats, coincidentally next to each other.

"Honestly, I Iied to Tyler and told him that I was feeling better, but now that I'm here I'm not so sure. How are you doing?" From there, the conversation flowed as the two of you caught up on lost time, both being busy with work.

After the first period, the score still 0-0, the two of you decided to go and get something to eat at one of the concessions stands, you opted just for a water as you didn't want to make your self feel worse by eating any of the greasy food. Sipping on the water felt nice, and was something you probably should have been doing form the start. But, as the excitement returned with the second period you wished you wold have just stayed home.

But worst of all, you had come to the realization that Tyler was right.

You were about to call it quits, when Tyler scored the first goal, giving the Stars a 1-0 lead. You couldn't help but jump up out of your seat and cheer for him. You stood there for minute after the applause died down. Then it hit you- wave of dizziness. You needed to sit. All the color left your face and Katie looked at you.

"(Y/N), are you okay?"

"Yeah, I'm fine."

"Are you sure? I can drive you home."

"No, no its okay I'll be fine. I'll probably leave a little early." You reassured her.

The rest of the second period ticked on, the Stars scoring another, putting the score at 2-0. You and Katie were joined by a few other friends during the second intermission which kept you busy and took your mind off of the way you were feeling.

As the third period started, it hit you again- that feeling. The wave of dizziness took over you. But, at that point you had made it through the majority of the game you just decided to stick it out and stay for the end.

You should have gone home.

As the seconds ticked down, the game grew more intense. There were four minutes left in the game, the other team had managed to score one, but the Stars were still winning 2-1. You felt like you were constantly standing due to commotion going on in front of each team's net.

Then it hit you, in a wave, you couldn't sit down fast enough. The last thing you heard was Katie voice asking if you were okay.

You woke up in what you thought was a athletic trainers room in the arena, Tyler sitting by your bedside.

"Hey." He said softly.

"What happened?" You asked, putting your hand up to your head which was throbbing.

"You fainted." He said. You looked at his face. He looked worried. It didn't look like he had been crying, but he was definitely holding back some tears. "At the end of the third period. Thank God Katie caught you or you would probably have a concussion." You nodded, understanding. "I was so scared, (Y/N). After my shift, one of the coaches called me off the bench and told me I had to come back here because there was something wrong with you."

"I'm sorry." You said, reaching your hand to grab his.

"Good news, they said you were just dehydrated and had really low blood pressure, but you don't have to go to the hospital." His free hand reached to your head, moving some hair from your face.

"Can we go home now?" You asked him, starting to sit up. Tyler stood up, moving over to you, helping you sit up on the bed.

"Ya, we should be okay to go." He said looking, at you. "Just don't move too fast okay? Take your time." He said sweetly.

"Tyler I'm fin-" You started, but were quickly cut off.

"Don't give me that shit." He gave you a soft smile, before reaching his hand out to help you off the table. "I'm calling your doctor tomorrow morning."

You opened your mouth to protest but stopped yourself. "Okay." You said.

As you walked out of the arena, you were met with lots of well wishes from Tyler's teammates and Stars staff. A few of them even said they would call to check up on you or bring balloons or flowers. You just blushed, more embarrassed than anything.

It took another week, but you were finally feeling like yourself again, just in time for Tyler to catch what you had.

"How are you feeling, babe? " You asked and Tyler just groaned. Reaching for his forehead to take his temperature. "Well, you definitely have a fever." You said, which once again was answered with a groan from Tyler.

You walked into the bathroom and wet a washcloth with cold water before walking back into he bedroom and placing it on the back of his neck. You sat on the bed next to him, rubbing his back. "What do you need?" You asked him.

"You."

"Tyler, I'm being serious, do you want some soup or ginger ale? Do you want me to get you some medicine? Do you want to take a shower or something?"

"I'm being serious too." His voice was muffled by the pillow his head was currently buried in. "I just need you." He whined, repositioning himself on his side and lifted up his arm, leaving you room to slide into his chest, and snuggle with him. When you were there, the two of you shifted so that you were practically holding Tyler, his head resting on your chest, your arms around him, lighting rubbing his back and playing with his hair.

"I told you, you were going to get sick." You whispered.

"Taking care of you was worth it." You didn't see him, but you could tell he had a soft smile on his lips.
