Ugghhhh. You rolled back over, trying to forget the time displayed on the clock. You were could never sleep well without Tyler. The bed just felt so cold and empty. Thankfully, he was coming home tonight from a four day road trip. Just then, you heard the familiar sound of his footsteps up the stairs, and into your shared bedroom.

"Hey." You whispered, sitting up in bed, your eyes barely open.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to wake you." Tyler responded as he dropped his bag down before sitting on the edge of your bed pulling you into a hug, and kissing your cheek.

"You didn't." You yawned.

"You look tired. Give me five minutes and then I'll be in bed, and we can both get some sleep." He said before breaking from the hug. Sure enough, five minutes later he was in bed with you, his arms wrapped around your waist. You could feel his breath on the back of your neck, which usually bothered you but tonight it felt peaceful.

You shifted, turning so that you were face to face with him, placing a gentle kiss on his chest. You didn't know why but you were restless, and you had a feeling Tyler was too. He would also keep moving; an arm, a leg, or he would readjust his head trying to find the right angle on the pillow. It wasn't until 45 minutes later when you heard your stomach growl that you both decided to do something about the situation.

"(Y/N), was that your stomach?"

"Ya." You said.

"Let's go get a snack, it might help us sleep."

"Mmmmm, okay." You said, as he pulled you out of bed. You wrapped a blanket around yourself, before following him down to the kitchen.

Three A.M. snacking was no time to be healthy. You automatically went to the freezer, pulling out a pint of ice cream, as he went to the drawer under the sink, where you kept the silverware, pulling out two spoons. You put the ice cream on the kitchen island where Tyler was sitting, running his hands through his hair, pulling up the stool next to him.

"Chocolate? Where's the cookie dough?" Tyler asked, raising his eyebrow.

"It's all gone." You said. "This is what happens when you go on road trips." He gave you a soft smile.

"I wish I could take you with me." He said as he took your hand.

"I don't." He looked up, shocked. "Spending time with like 20 smelly guys, no thank you." You said, looking at the ice cream. He laughed, his eyes lovingly on you.

"Oh, hey, do you wanna hear the song I was telling you about."

Sure, which one? You tell me about a lot of songs." You said, digging with your spoon through the pint.

"The one that reminded me of you." He whispered as he brushed a piece of hair from your face behind your ear. You nodded in response, smiling, knowing exactly which song Tyler was talking about. Tyler pulled out his phone to search for it, but before he pressed play he stopped and looked at you.

"Dance with me." He said extending his hand.

"Tyler, its like three in the morning." You protested.

"Ya, so?" Gently, you rolled your eyes, before taking his hand. He wrapped you in his arms before pressing play and putting this phone on the counter.

"It's called 'Hold My Girl', when I listened to it, it made me think of you, yanno, because you're my girl, and I like holding you." He whispered.

"You're so cute." You smiled, your voice soft. Neither one of you wanted to talk louder than a whisper because you didn't want to ruin the moment.

After that you rested your head on his chest, you were still wrapped in your blanket, his arms holding you firmly but gently to him. You took in the smell of his cologne, that even hours later after he applied it, you could still smell. Lightly, he hummed along in your ear, pressing soft kisses to your forehead. In your eyes, the world stopped and time didn't exist- it was just the two of you. Neither of you even noticed when the song ended and the next one started, you were so wrapped up in each other. You had never felt safer.

Tyler was the first one to break the silence, whispering "I love you," in your ear. You kissed his neck, letting him know you felt the same without using words.

"I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you." He said. "Just doing this." You smiled.

"Going soft on me, Seguin? You asked, smiling.

"Never. I'm always hard for you." He chuckled, as you rolled your eyes. You pulled away from him, shaking your head. "You had to ruin it didn't you." You walked ahead of him, stopping to watch what he was doing. Tyler shot you a cocky smile as he stopped the music playing on his phone before grabbing it and putting it in his sweatpants pocket.

"C'mon." You said standing at the bottom of the staircase. "Lets go give that sleep thing another try."
