Chapter 8

"We can take custody of Liam away from Frank, so he could be ours" Derek said all of a sudden as if an afterthought.

WHAT?!

"WHAT?!!" I decided to voice my thoughts.

"What do you mean take custody away from Frank? Only family can take away custody and Kennet's too young to take care of him in a judge's eyes" Lip said ignoring my outburst.

"Yeah what he said," I said more calmly.

"That's not true, anyone can take custody of a child in danger, we just prove to a judge that Frank is incapable of taking care of Liam and take him into our custody, I can do it for you guys since you're too young, I'll be his legal guardian but you'll be in charge of him." He took my hand and stared into my eyes, the expression on his face seemed genuine, like he really wanted to get custody over Liam.

"Are you crazy? If we prove that Frank is incompetente they'll put the rest of my siblings into foster care!!!" Lip exclaimed. He looked incredulously at Derek but upon hearing or per say not hearing an agreement from me he turned the look towards me. "Hey I know you don't get appreciated enough at home and I know you don't know them but they are my family, we've been through thick and thin together, I don't want to separate them!" Lip raised his voice at me, he looked desperate for me to understand but he also turned red from anger.

"Yet you just told me that you would come live with me? You would leave them? And so what if they get into foster care don't you think that maybe they could end up in a better place? Where they don't have to live off of other people's things, money, clothes?? Before I came to live with you, the lot of you struggled to even have food on the table each nig-"

"That's none of your business!! That was in the past, we struggled but we always made it!!" He cut me off

"ITS IN THE PAST THANKS TO ME IF IT WERENT FOR ME WHO KNOWS IF YOU ALL WERE TO BE ALIVE! I HAVE FED YOU EVEN THOUGH I HAVE NEVER BEEN TRATED LIKE A SIBLING!! And you're right I don't give a damn if they end up in foster care or not, I only care about You and Liam" I yelled in his face.

It suddenly became very hot and the anger inside of me felt 100 times worse than it had to, I felt betrayed by Lip for defending the life he lived before I came to help them! They would be worse off without my income into the house. My breathing started getting labored and my gums and nail beds started aching, my back and ears started burning, and my eyes started getting blurry.

"Derek? Derek what's happening? Am I changing? Why am I changing? My pack isn't finished!!" I panicked and stretched my arms for Derek since my vision was so blurry.

"Sh sh you're not changing you just feel like it because you got so mad, relax it's okay I'm here, I'll protect you." He took me into his arms and buried his head into my neck inhaling deeply.

His sent was musky and came at me in waves and enveloped me from head to toe, and even though it was relaxing I still felt the pains and aches around my body which I was sure wasn't normal.

"No Derek I think I am changing!" I felt my body start shaking as it became more and more hot. It felt like Derek's body was making me go through it all faster than when he wasn't touching me.

"What's happening to my sister? Do something you asshole! Stop hugging her and help her!!" I heard Lip's voice over the ringing in my ears and felt his cold hands try to rip away Derek's warm body from my embrace, I growled ferociously at him baring my fast elongating fangs.

Holding Derek tightly I heard and felt myself growl louder at Lip, "MINE," rumbled out my throat, still holding Derek tightly to my neck. I felt him kiss my neck gently.
