silence. | chapter fourteen

"Juju?" I hear Bayley say loud. I scrunched my eyebrows and decided to head for the front door. I see Bayley standing with her hand on the door knob and she had her jaw dropped.

"It's me Bay." The girl says. She was quite tall, had blonde hair and had fair skin.

"Juliana.. what happened to you?" Bayley asked and I walk forward just in case Bayley snapped.

Juliana? Bayley said she killed her. What is going on?

"Bayley.. um, hey." I say resting my hand on Bayley's shoulder.

"What happened Juliana?" Bayley repeats in a louder tone. I could see her eyes had tears in them.

"When I went to the hospital.. I was adopted there and I wasn't able to return." She sighed.

I knew it.

"But, I'm here now and I just want to apologize and get back get back to where we were as friends.." Juliana explains and I could feel myself getting angry. Who does she think she is?

"Okay.." Bayley agreed softly using her sleeves to wipe her tears away.

Why did she wait this long? There's got to be a catch here.

"So, can we start today? I'll take you to your favorite place." She asked with a warming smile. I know there's something up.

"Sure. Come inside." Bayley whispers and I just stand there watching. I head back for the kitchen to finish my cereal.

I sighed. This is not a good idea. I quickly finished my cereal and followed Bayley upstairs.

"Bayley, that's a bad idea." I tell her and she turns around and looks at me.

"What is?" She asked heading over to her closet.

"Going with Juliana. Don't you think it's a bit suspicious how she just pops up after a few months after your mom and dad was jailed?" I mentioned and she walks out of the closet.

"You are overthinking it. She'll never replace you. You're my best friend now." She says grabbing my face and placing a kiss on my nose.

I watched as she went back into the bathroom. I was seriously worried. I head back downstairs where Juliana was sitting on the couch on her phone.

"Hey.. what's your deal?" I asked her folding my arms.

"What's my deal?" She repeats looking at me and standing up off of the couch.

"Why do you want to take Bayley out all of a sudden?" I asked her as she got closer to me.

"Is that your business?" She asked me folding her arms.

"Yeah it is.. Bayley is my um - girlfriend." I answered.

Oops. I panicked.

"Bayley is a lesbian?" She asked with a smile on her face.

"Duh. She's my girlfriend." I say as Bayley come downstairs.

"Bayley, I heard -" Juliana begins to say.

"She heard how we are dating." I finished covering Bayley's mouth.

"It's okay. Shh," I say shushing Bayley. I tugged the botttom of her shirt.

"Sasha, what are you doing?" She whispered lowly once I moved my hand.

"Shh, just play along." I say hoping that she would.

"Hm, you two date Bayley?" Juliana asks Bayley and Bayley looks at me before looking back at Juliana. "Um -"
