Lance woke up to the blasting sound of his alarm. He groaned as he shut alarm off and rubbed his eyes in annoyance. Lance sighed as he stared at the ceiling, feeling like he was forgetting something. Then, he looked at his calendar (that was coincidentally right beside his bed) and realized. "Oh shit it's Friday," Lance muttered to himself as he jumped out of bed in a panic.

Lance was shaking. He was running all the scenarios that could go wrong inside his head. What if Lance got to school and Keith completely beat the shit out of him. What if when Lance got to school Keith tortured him by slowly breaking his arm. What if when he got to school everyone pushed him to get Keith expelled and Lance embarrasses himself by being to weak or something.

Lance was pulling at his hair as he panicked. He looked around his room to come up with any ideas on getting him out of school today. Then Lance remembered the conversation he had with his friend last night. So he messed up his hair to look worse then it already was, stuffed to tissues up his nose, and wrapped himself in a blanket as if he was freezing. He was going to be sick today.

Lance walked down stairs, he was hoping that with all this stuff he prepared to look sick would get him out of school, or at least make his family feel pity for him if they saw through his master of a 'disguise'.

As Lance walked into his kitchen, he was greeted by his mother making what he assumed was pancakes for breakfast. "Oh good morning Lance!" His mother said cheerfully. "You're up early this morning!" She said as she flipped the pancakes that where sitting in the pan. Lance took a deep breath before saying anything, he hated lying to his mother, even if it was only to fake an illness. "Mom," Lance started in a sweet, stuffed nose type voice. "I'm not feeling to well today." Lance's mother turned around to examine Lance, all wrapped in a blanket, to tissues in his nose because of his 'runny nose'.

Lance's mother could see through any type of stunt Lance pulled. She sighed as she crossed her arms and stared Lance dead in the eye. "Lance, mijo, if you where really sick you'd have shown signs two days ago." Lance stood in shock at how his mother figured it out so quickly, and how right she was about it. Lance sighed as he looked at his feet and pulled the tissues out of his nose. "It's only Friday, then tomorrow is a weekend. Plenty of time to get your mind off school," Lance's mother said as she went back to focusing on the pancakes. Lance nodded his head and dragged himself back up the stairs to get ready for the day.

When Lance was finished getting ready he went back down stairs to enjoy some pancakes before he would probably die at school. As he was eating his breakfast, he sat and thought to himself, staring off into space. Maybe Keith wouldn't care about Lance when he got back. That was very unlikely since he spent ten whole days out of school because Lance got him suspended. But it wasn't entirely Lance's fault, Keith was the one who punched him into a bookshelf.

Lance finished eating and grabbed his backpack to leave. "See you after school mijo!" Lance's mom calls to him before he stepped out the door. 'Yeah, in a hospital' Lance thought to himself. "Bye," Lance called back as he shut the door behind him.

Lance walked to school very anxiously. He was trying to calm himself down before he got there. As he reached the front entrance of the school he toke a deep breath before opening the door. He was greeted by a few stares. But he shrugged them off. Lance examined the room looking to see if Keith has arrived to school yet. Lance didn't see him so he toke a sigh of relief.

"Don't worry, Keith doesn't show up til' right before school starts," Hunk patted Lance on the back. "Ok, good!" Lance said in positive voice. Hoping that if he acted positive, he would feel more positive too. It was kind of working, not that much though. "Speaking of school starting, look at the time, we should head to class," Pidge interfered, coming out of almost nowhere.

Hunk, Pidge, and Lance sat at their desks waiting for the teacher to start class. Pidge was staring at her phone and Hunk was talking to Lance. They were talking about dumb stuff they'd do on the weekend, like play fortnite or something else like that. Then guess who walked in, that's right, Keith. Lance froze, looking anywhere but him. Keith honestly didn't care. The whole class went silent. It was like and old movie from the 80's, like a western one when the main antagonist walks into an old, deserted town with only a few people who live there. It was kind of awkward. Keith walked over to his desk, plopped down, and rested his feet on the table. Everyone just stared as he did this. Ironically, everyone but Lance. "What?" Keith scoffed out to the class and they all spun their heads away to advert their eyes.

The teacher eventually walked in after a few minutes of awkward silence from the class. It was odd, everyone knew today Keith would be coming back, yet, everyone was still scared out of there skin, especially Lance. "Good morning class, and welcome back Keith," the teacher said in a very tired out voice. It looked like the teacher was also already tired of school.

A few hours later, it was third period. This was the only class Lance had that was without Pidge or Hunk. He sat his table alone. Usually you'd have a partner, but there was a kid who never showed up. Lance didn't really mind sitting alone, that meant no one would be yelling at him to do stuff or get pissed at him like the other students did to their partners.

Lance sat there as all the kids filled into class. The teacher, Mr. Clayton, was working on papers as he waited for everyone to take a seat. Lance was fiddling with a pencil until he saw Keith walk in. Lance looked away as fast as possible. This was apparently the kid who never showed up. Of course, Keith could never show up because he was suspended. Lance knew what had to happen, he dreaded it. He was praying that he'd make someone switch seats but, when has anything gone Lance's way? Definitely not this.

Keith walked over to the teacher. "Where do I sit?" Keith asked in a slightly annoyed tone. Mr. Clayton looked up from his papers. Then realizing that Keith was the student that never showed up, he looked around the classroom. Then Lance's eyes meet Mr. Clayton's. 'Oh no.' Lance thought to himself. "Go take a seat next to Lance," Mr. Clayton said as he stood up from his chair to start class. Keith froze, the last thing he needed was to sit beside the most annoying human being on this planet. Lance. "Well go on, I have to start class boy." Mr. Clayton said annoyed, as Keith was standing in his way. Keith just grunted in a response. Then he sat down next to Lance, not even giving him a glance. Keith was not going to let Lance be the cause of him being expelled.

Lance was completely panicking in his head. What was he going to do now? He had to sit beside, Keith. He was literally going to die.

As class started, Lance slowly started to calm down to the fact that he had to sit beside Keith, for the rest of the class, and possibly the whole semester. Ok maybe Lance was still panicking a little. Keith, well Keith still honestly didn't care. It was easy for Keith to tell when someone was afraid or panicking because of him. He had to deal with it everyday. But Lance, he was pretty horrible at hiding it. Usually Keith had to look or think twice when someone was panicking, but Keith could tell Lance was panicking ever since he walked into class that morning. It was honestly freaking him out with his intense breathing whenever Keith would simply as adjusting his sitting position. It was weird.

When the bell rang for lunch Lance was the first one out of the classroom. He was ready to go home, it was only half way through the day.

As Lance was getting ready to meet up with Hunk and Pidge, he heard an odd commotion going on around the corner. Since Lance was the curious kid he was, he decided to take a little peek. That's when he saw the jocks, surrounding a kid. Lance couldn't tell who the kid was but he knew that messing with the jocks was definitely something he didn't want to do. Then as he was about to walk away, he saw a familiar flash of red out of the corner of his eye. Then he realized that the kid the jocks were surrounding was,

Keith!
