OMG! Not another vampire story!

Part 7

Ah, I'm so happy! Why can't everyday be this good?!? I wish I could go on a date with Alexander right now! Grrr! How am I gonna tell my parents? Maybe I should just say I'm gonna hang out with Abby and instead meet Alexander... but he should meet my parents so I can really date. Just like in movies!

My mind was racing with millions of thoughts about how our date would go tomorrow as I walked up my long driveway to my house. Once I got home I did my chores like a robot doing what it was programmed to do, but I really wanted to jump and scream all of the happiness that was overflowing. I can't believe Alexander actually likes me!!! I went and turned on the T.V., but didn't really pay attention to it. Soon my mom came home and my heart beat sped. What do I do? Should I just tell her? Grrrr!!! Okay I'll go for that... Kind of.... Maybe?

"Hey, mom?" I asked.

"What?" She asked back.

"Umm... well... Can I go somewhere after school?" I asked.

"Where?" She asked. Why does she always ask such hard questions, can't she just agree?

"Well... I don't know..." Why am I so nervous?

"Why not?'

"Well... you see, I..." My cheeks burned. "Someone asked me on a date!" I blurted. She looked at me in surprise.

"Well... If you bring him here so I can meet him before than maybe... does he go to your school? How old is he?..." She asked more questions, but my mind was just happy with the maybe, which is almost a yes and defiantly not a no!

Later I went to bed and all could think of is: what do I wear? Where will we go? What will we do? What do I do if...? I feel asleep late and didn't get much sleep, but in the morning I felt sick from being nervous, but I was too excited to care. I was going to see Alexander today and go on a date no matter what!
