2 Months later......

Felicity groaned before tossing another "care package" from her mother in the garbage. For the past few weeks, her mother had become even more relentless about trying to match her up with a suitable mate. She was only 26 for goodness sake! It appeared her good-for-nothing, useless brothers weren't moving fast enough for their mother, so now she was bothering Felicity.

"I will die before getting grandchildren at this point, Felicity! Don't you feel bad for your poor mother? Who will I smother will love and gifts, huh?" Her mother complained.

"You could do that to your 8 kids, Ma..." Felicity immediately knew that was the wrong thing to say when she heard her mother gasp.

"Anyway, I have to go, the store is so busy these days. Bye, love you, talk to you soon." She quickly hung up on her mother and threw out the box full of dragon aphrodisiacs.

Another package had come from her mother, and it was filled with baby clothes. Subtlety was not her mother's strong suit. A familiar tingle ran down her spine, making her her body shiver. Yeah, she needed to let the dragon out. Felicity then began the process of moving her furniture out of the way, as anything under the convenient hatch in the ceiling would be fair game to her dragon when landing.

After she was sure her expensive, and new, furniture was safe, she pulled the heavy chain that ran from the ceiling to the floor, opening the sky hatch. When she was done securing the chain, she lifted her head to look out of the hatch. It was a bright, sunny day, and she knew the gigantic lake that was behind her house would be perfect to take a dip in today.

Felicity was just about to strip when she heard a loud roar that could have only come from a dragon in the sky. It sounded suspiciously close to her house, making her go over to the hatch and look up. And quickly backed away. Hurtling down was a large man, half transformed, heading straight for the hatch.  Almost as soon as she had backed away, the man landed harshly in her home. The floor shook, and she heard some glasses fall off of her kitchen counter. The man  didn't move, or make a sound. Felicity moved closer, looking him over.

If he needed help, then she would do that. However, if he was trouble, he would need even more help. Even if he was handsome. Devilishly so. Felicity sent a few glances to the hot stranger in her living room as she got her medical kit out of the kitchen. He was breathing heavily, dripping with sweat, and smelled like something died. She was lucky she had moved all of her furniture beforehand. The man had crashed through smoothly, thanks to the opened hatch on top of Felicity's house.

"Who are you?" he demanded in a gruff voice. It was deep and raspy, as normal for most dragons. Felicity just raised one eyebrow at the male dragon. I'm helping him, and he wants to be bossy? She started towards him with the kit in hand with a scowl. Once she was in his line of sight, she saw him visibly cringe.

"Just my luck. I fell right into a trap! Did you plan this, woman? Are you so desperate as to-" he yelled, outraged.

"Hold on, there killer. First, shut up before you strain your body even more. Second, shut up before I hurt you even worse."

Felicity kept scowling when he flinched when she started to wipe his brow. He started groaning.

"What is with you females?! Are you trying to kill me?!" the man yelled again. Felicity just narrowed her eyes. So, it was a female that had did this? It wasn't unbelievable. Since the sudden shortage of males 15 years ago, it had become a battle whenever one arises near females. But, Felicity was never a participant in those things, and it was one of the reasons she left home. In her opinion, if she ever found one that lit her fire, she would fight for him. But, females now are so greedy, every time a male comes, they would fight. Not even because they wanted him, just because they could.

"Shut your face, dragon. I have nothing to do with those mini wars they have. And if you complain one more time, I am going to sew your mouth shut," That made Felicity look at his lips. They were nice.

"And that would be a pity." She added. The man quieted down, but she still heard him grumbling under his breath. She continued her search of his very hot body, literally and figuratively, and stopped at one of his thick legs. This is what she was looking for. There was a bright purple spot on his leg, and little veins were shooting out of it. Felicity shook her head. It hadn't spread too far, yet, just a small area around the bottom of his leg.

"Do you know who did this?" Felicity asked him, hands hovering around the wound, wondering if she could help him. She barely saw the man nod his head.

"Her name I do not know, but she had short white hair with red eyes. And she was tall, almost my height." he said. Felicity frowned. She knew exactly who he was talking about. Alliena DuBois. She was a wretched female, wanting to keep all the males for herself. She was an entitled, spoiled woman who deemed herself royalty. She was also one of the reasons Felicity left home. The vicious woman had tried to kidnap 2 of her brothers to keep as mates, and Felicity put the beat down on her. Alliena thought that she was so special no one could, or would, lay hands on her, but she was unpleasantly surprised when she faced against Felicity. This explained a lot of things about the male in front of her.

"Bring out your wings for me." Although he had the purple spots on his leg, it shouldn't have hindered his flying. And then, she thought about who he described. Yikes, he sure ran into the wrong female.

"That, my friend, was Alliena. She fancies herself a princess because she is the last of White Sand Dragon Clan. You really messed up. She has a harem of males of all races, but she looks out for dragon males especially. I heard she has 9 of them, already." Felicity explained as she gently helped him turn over so she could see his wings. Just as she had thought. That Alliena threw the stuff on his wings, too. There was an even bigger purple spot in the middle of his wings and there was a bigger spread of it.That was a horrible thing to do. The "princess" resided in Texas, so it was weird that she would come so far North.

"What did she do to me?" the man asked. It was a normal question. A good question, really. Felicity thought the exact same thing, and came up blank.

"What's your name, stranger?" Felicity finally asked.

"Vale Collins. My name is Vale Collins." the guy said.

"Nice to meet you Bristan, my name is Felicity Arata. Alliena threw some type of poison on you. But don't worry. I have a friend, a very talented friend, that can heal it, as long as you don't try to fly for a while." Felicity said. His blue eyes locked solemnly on hers and he gave her a nod. She gently stretched one of his wings out and he gave a great groan and a small stream of fire flew out of his mouth. She gently laid the wing down and told him that he could keep them away. His breathing was heavy and he was still sweating. Felicity wiped his brow and patted his chest with a cold rag.

"I don't know what this is yet, so I will have to go to the store. Stay here, don't answer the door, and do not answer the phone, got it? Okay, I will see you when I get back."

Felicity put on her jacket because she could hear the rumbling of thunder in the distance and was about to walk out the door before she remembered something. Running back into her living room, she quickly shut the open hatch. Then, she left to go to the store.
