Hiroki entered the tower. But inside was different. It felt different the moment he had entered. As he stepped forward towards the center, he heard a familiar voice call out his name. He heard Aelita's faint voice call out his name. But he ignored it.
"Just a sec. Now, if I can only get up." Hiroki felt strange. The whole tower felt strange. It wasn't allowing him to go up.
"Why isn't this working? Is this thing broken or what?" He stomped.
"It won't let you." Aelita's voice spoke to him again.
"But why?" Hiroki was confused. Then he saw the tower change color. The color looked so familiar it made him step back. "Magenta." He said to himself. "What's going on, Aeliita? Aelita? Aelita?" He heard laughter coming from around the tower. He looked around and saw nobody, until he turned back to what was in front of him. He only caught a glimpse before he was sent backwards outside the tower thrown by a blast. Unconscious, his body was brought back to the real world where there was even more trouble.Scanner Room
The doors open and Hiroki collapsed onto the metal ground as he grunts in pain.
Lyoko
Carthage (Sector 5)William readies his battle stance as Tamiya steps up alongside him. They notice the change of color from the tower.
"Tamiya. Stay behind me." William tells her. Tamiya takes a step back and looks at the tower.
"Something's coming out." She said.
"It's not something. But someone." William throws a big swing of energy right at it hitting the tower.
"Did you get it?" Tamiya stepped forward again.
Someone was coming out. A few steps forward and stopped.
"It's been awhile, William." The voice said directly to William.
"I'm afraid it has, Aelita."Lab
Laura was scared. She was afraid. First, having to be all alone. Second, a "Howler" coming after her from the Supercomputer. Third, not hearing from Patrick or Samantha. Lastly, what could have ended this disaster, is Hiroki being unable to deactivate the tower because he is now knocked out of Lyoko and laying down unconscious in the Scanner Room as Laura spectates in front of the computer. She was scared. Alone. Worst case scenario, defenseless.
A rustling sound came up from above. She could hear the echoes of a growl somewhere around. She could hear from all around. It sounded like it was circling all around her. Then from below the elevator, she hears the claws climbing their way up. She had no where to go except down to the Scanner Room with an unconscious boy, she thought.
Before she knew it, a Howler jumped down from above. It was the one that Patrick evaded earlier in order to save Sam. She would climb up but the Howler was in her way. Then, the second one appeared. She was vulnerable. It's over. She ducked down and cried in fear. The first one leaped towards her but dropped down as Patrick dove down right at the thing who was about to attack Laura.
"Leave her alone!" Patrick yelled out, tying a rope right around its neck.
"Now!" He yelled out. From above, Sam pushed down what appeared to be a small, but heavy locker, down a broken floor. The effect pulled the Howler up from its neck back up quickly. Sam ran forward and dodged it from getting another scratch from it again. She took a quick look as it went falling down.
There was one Howler left.
"Please tell me you have an idea to kill that thing." Laura ran behind his back. Sam ran up and jumped on its back. She wrestled with it grabbing it in a chokehold position. The Howler tried to shake it off, but couldn't. She wrestled with it taking it backwards.
"Sam, watch out-!"
"It's okay, Laura. We know what we're doing." Patrick pushes her off his back and runs straight at it. Laura gasps, covering her mouth. She watched as he ran and striked it straight towards the elevator. At that same moment. Sam got off and jumped. But she was too close to the edge. The Howler fell straight down like the first one, getting a scratch on Sam before meeting it's demise. Sam was on the edge fingers away from falling to her demise as well. Before she let go, Hiroki quickly came to the rescue and grabbed onto her wrist. But she was too heavy for him. He wasn't strong enough. He tried pulling as hard as he could but he was slowly being dragged down closer and closer to the edge. Patrick came in time and told Sam to grab his hand. She lifted up her other hand quickly as the two pulled. Slowly but surely, they pulled her up.
Hiroki was panting. He was so tired he collapsed again.
"Sam?" He called out to her.
"Thank you." She smiled a bit.
"Sam." Hiroki called her again.
"Yeah?" She asked.
"You're so heavy." Hiroki said catching his breath again and laughed a tired laugh.
Sam smacked his head, "You idiot. You save my life and that's all you have to say!" Sam turned red.
"Sam." Patrick getting her attention with a pay on the shoulder. "What he meant to say was he's glad that you're ok. Thanks, Hiroki."
"Patrick?" Hiroki called out to him.
"What is it?" He asked.
"You talk too much."
"What? No I don't." He responds back to him. Everyone laughed and smiled for a moment until Laura asked Hiroki what had happened to him. Hiroki got up with the help of Sam lifting him up and said, "Well I was already inside the tower. Except, the tower felt different. I couldn't float up and I heard Aelita -"
"Hold on," Patrick stopped him. "You heard Aelita?"
"I'm not finished." Hiroki crossing both arms.
"Sorry." Patrick lifted his hands up as a sign of an apology.
"Anyway, something hit me and boy did it hurt?"
"What was it?" Laura asked.
Hiroki shook his head down. Closing his eyes he tried to remember.
"The tower turned magenta. It wasn't blue. I remember her voice. But it can't be."
"What did you see?" Laura asked. Everyone looked at Hiroki as he stood in silence.
