"If you would get your butt up, maybe we wouldn't be as late to the Ceremony!" Avril screamed, her milk chocolate hair whipping about.

"Hang on, will you?" Axis put his jacket on, annoyed to the point where his eyebrows knitted together in it. He glanced at the mirror with a cocky grin and said, "Ready!"

"Finally!" Avril opened the door and sunlight was poured in. It really was a nice day for a Ceremony; brillantly white clouds were splattered on the blue canvas of a sky and the warmth was not too unbearable... It was literally as perfect as could be.

"Father has already left. Come on!" Avril grabbed Axis's hand. Even though Avril was a very energetic and wild soul, and Axis was a calm and calculating one, they were still twins, and they looked alike and their traits were very matchable.

"Which way is the Colosseum?" Axis shifted his feet so his socks slipped in his shoes. He looked up at the sky and at the streets around them and took it all in. This was the city of Ceraleum, where fanasty was reality.

"It should be past Lovelace Road. We'll find it." Avril let go of Axis's hand and skipped to the street sign that read: LOVELACE ROAD.

"Ah! Look, Axis! You can see it from here!" Avril pointed at the sky. Axis didn't see what she was talking about until he was right next to her. The Colosseum was a wonderful sight, even if he lived only a few streets away from it. Everyday it seemed to shock him how wonderous it was. The people of Ceraleum had built it by studying the original version in Rome. It stood tall with its walls, and it was shaped more like a bowl than the one in Rome. There were seats spiraling on the inside of the thing, and thats where the Ceremony would be.

"Want to race, brother?" Avril asked with a laugh. Before Axis could answer, she was running past the carriages and horns beeped at her. Axis laughed and ran after her.

"Ha! I beat you!" Axis skidded to a stop in front of the Colosseum. He gazed at the walls with awe and grazed the cement of the walls with a slender finger.

"You're too fast for me. Ugh." Avril crossed her arms and giggled.

They walked up to the gates of the Colosseum. About to enter, they were stopped by a hand. A very muscular man held his hand in front of their chests. "Eh? And who are you two brats?"

Brats? "We are actually the brats of King Ashton," Avril said, puffing.

"Oh!" The man lifted his hand, and said, stuttering, "I-I'm very sorry. I didn't know. G-Go ahead."

Axis hated using royalty as a pass into the Colosseum. Or royalty as a pass for anything. Avril used it to her advantage, but Axis didn't feel right doing it.

The gates opened and Axis saw the inside of the Colosseum. Seats were spiraled on the outsides and corners of the indoors, but in the center was where all of the action happened. People would be promoted there. It was a flat piece of land in the center, but it was as big as the ground floor of a castle.

Axis and Avril wouldn't have been here if it wasn't for Dargo. Dargo's Ceremony was today and so were many others. Every week there was a Ceremony to celebrate the 18 year olds and give them the promotion.

Dargo was seated with the other 125 adults that were going to be promoted. Dargo was very skinny and taunt, but he had a heart that was bigger than Axis's and Avril's combined. Dargo, their dearest cousin, waved at them and beckoned them over.

The crowd was very loud, even though they were talking normally.

"Dargo!" Axis yelped in joy. They joined in a big group hug for a minute before letting go and having Dargo explain everything.
