Axis was lifted upwards, and he laughed in joy. He couldn't stop going up and up, and suddenly, he could see the city of Ceraleum. The houses and the Colosseum, the streeet signs: Estern Street, and so many more. He could see the broken down bridge, and...
He gasped. He could see the Great Palace from here.
The Palace was where his Father lived. Axis and Avril were never allowed there, and neither was their mother. The three of them had lived in this house. And when she died, Avril refused to move away. And so the twins stayed there.
He laughed again, and surged forward by will, the air slapping his face and he went forward like a speedy rocket.
He set himself on top of a large and very tall oak tree. It stood in the training area like a skyscraper and it overlooked the whole city. He gazed at the enchanting view.
And then, he heard it.
There were the clops of horses, and he saw the storm of men coming. They rode white and black stallions and they carried swords of the Palace; bejeweled and glistening with elemental power.
He stared as they rode into his training area. He looked around for Rastiv. He sighed in relief as he saw that Rastiv was gone; hopefully gone, and not hiding somewhere.
One man got off his horse, and it neighed. The man had very strange eyes; golden and swirly, like he was being hypnotized. He bent his neck around, searching for... something.
"Raven, Lumber, look for him," the man said. All of the men were dressed in red and black suits for battle... Why? And who is him?
Raven, a muscular man with a white beard and a crooked nose, got off his horse and nodded at the man. So he was in charge? What was his name?
"Yes, sir." Raven and Lumber searched around everywhere while the man ordered everyone else to lock down the perimeter.
There was a grunt from the field of rocks. Raven and Lumber each had one of Rastiv's arms. Rastiv looked down, keeping quiet while he was being dragged to the man.
Axis climbed down a little to see what was going on. He made no noise as he sat on one of the branches, finally getting a good view.
"Gordan...," Rastiv said, shocked.
"No. Captain Morales." The captain looked down at Rastiv, his face twisted with disgust. "Now where is the boy?"
"I don't know who you're talking about, but, Gordan, please, you need--" Gordan slammed his foot into Rastiv's chest, and Rastiv groaned in pain.
"We are not talking about me. We are talking about our dear Axis Bentell. Where is he?" Gordan said, with such a calm anger. Axis shivered, wanting to come out and let them take him, so Rastiv wouldn't get hurt.
"The son of the King? I've only met him once, at the Ceremony. And plus, I have to be there tomorrow for another one, and--" Gordan lifted his hand up in the air, and a ball of fire bobbed on top of his palm, shining with a bright orange light.
"Tell me, or you will not live to see your little Ceremony."
Rastiv spat at his shoes, and looked at him, frowning with anger. "I tell traitors nothing."
The fire exploded on his chest, and his collared shirt ignited, and he screamed. Axis lifted his foot, as if to run to him, but Rastiv spoke to him in his mind.
