At Nick's place

They both walked into his place Nick turned on the lights "Nice place you got here" "Thanks it's really hard to find something like this that is in my price range" "Yeah tell me about it" "You can sit down if you want" Athena walks over towards the couch and sat down Nick went to his bedroom and grabbed a pillow and a blanket "Here you can take my bed I'll sleep on the couch" "You sure?" "Yeah it's fine" "If you say so um I know this is a stupid question to ask but do you happen to have an extra shirt that I can use to sleep in?" Nick just raised his eyebrows "Yeah I think so hang on" Nick gets up goes to his room and looks for an old shirt of his to give to her "Thanks" "No problem".

Nick just looks at her for a few minutes then he walks away back to the couch but before he fully go to the couch he turned around and sees Athena taking off her shirt showing her bare back to Nick it's a good thing that Athena didn't see him. Once that was over he walked back towards the couch when he got there his phone rang it was Bishop "Hey Bishop what's up?" "It's Clay" "What about him?" "He's dead" "Your kidding" "No him and Abby were walking and there was this guy who was trying to rob them he was about to shoot Abby but Clay jumped in front of the gun then when the guy didn't get what he wanted he shot Clay" Bishop said in tears. Athena came out from the room to see what's going on "Hey is everything alright?" "Bishop we will be there soon just stay calm" Nick hangs up the phone and gets his stuff together " Nick what's wrong" "One of our coworkers has been shot and he was with Abby" "Oh my god is Abby alright?" "She's fine but we need to go" "Alright" Athena went to go put some pants on and left with Nick.

At Autopsy/ Abby's lab

Bishop, Palmer, Ducky, McGee, Nick, and Athena were there Athena was in tears she might not have known him that long but he was a good guy "I need to go check on Abby" said Athena she then walked out the doors and went upstairs to check on her friend "Abby are you alright?" Abby looks at Athena and goes to hug her "He's dead Athena, Clay is dead because of me" "Why would you say that?" "Because I couldn't give the guy money fast enough" "No Abby this is not your fault I don't ever want to hear you say that alright" Abby just cried in Athena's arms Abby goes down to the ground and Athena goes down with her "How do you do it?" "Do what?" "Get over your love ones death?" "It's not easy" "How?" "I used to drink a lot and that didn't take away the pain like I thought it would it just made room for it" "Really?" "Yeah I was so drunk I couldn't even remember where I was at that night" "I tried to help him" "Who?" "That man I tried to help he wanted help so I said that I could help him but he didn't want it so he pointed the gun at me but Clay fought with him to try to take the gun out of his hands but it didn't work the man shot Clay" "It's ok Abby, it's ok" the girls just sat on the floor not knowing what to do but cry.

Back at Autopsy

Athena came back with tear stains she walked over to where Nick stood at and just looked at Clay's body that laid on the table dead Athena wan't even there for 2 seconds and Nick turned around and punched the wall really hard it scared Athena "Nick, Nick stop, stop it" said Athena she grabbed his arm that punched the wall and put her hands on his cheeks so he can look at her "This wasn't your fault do you hear me this wasn't your fault" "I should have know I've should have been there" "But you weren't and if you were you would be dead too" "I'm ok with that" "Well I'm not" Nick just looks at her when Nick was looking at her he knew that she was scared she almost lost Abby. "It's going to be alright we will find this guy who has done this to Clay" said McGee "I need to go Abby is taking me back to her place" Athena goes over to Clay's dead body and leans in to whisper in his ear she knows that he can't hear her but Athena wanted to say it to him "I'm sorry this happened to you" Athena then walks out of Autopsy and goes up to see Abby.

In Abby's lab

"You ready?" "Yeah" Athena looks around her lab "Where's your stuff?" "I'm leaving" "Yeah I know I'm coming with you" "No as in I'm leaving NCIS" Athena didn't know what to say to that she just looked at Abby "Well say something?" "But why?" "After today I was thinking I don't want to do this anymore I want to live my life I don't want to die trying" "But what about me the reason that I did this was because of you that's why I took this job so I could be close to you just incase you need me" "I know and I thank you for that I'm going to miss you the most Athena" Abby was in tears "I want you to have this" Abby gives her the farting hippo "Are you sure you love this little guy" "This is the only piece of me you can have" Abby says laughing at Athena "Then here have this" Athena takes off her skeleton necklace that she had on she then hugs Abby "Here let's go home so I can help you pack your things" Abby smiles at Athena then they both walk out of the lab and goes to Abby's place.
