You, Ethan and Grayson had been friends since you were little...you guys were always in the same classes and always hung out, until they started youtube and moved out to California and left you in New Jersey.

You talked to them every day...on facetime, snapchat, insta, and text message. Then they just stopped talking to you..with no explanation. That was when you were 16 though and now you were turning 18.

You woke up the morning of your birthday happy but upset the twins weren't there and couldn't even wish you a happy birthday. You walked down the creaky stairs to see your dad making breakfast and your mom on her laptop.

"Morning guys" you said yawning "sweetie! Happy 18th birthday!" Your Mom said in a sweet voice, your dad was on a business call with his Bluetooth ear piece like always and couldn't hear anything.

Your little 14 year old brother came out of the bathroom "happy birthday bitch" "Language!" Your Mom yelled. You chuckled and ran your fingers through his hair "I love you too buddy." Your Dad was still talking while setting your plate of eggs and bacon in front of you.

"Did the twins wish you a happy birthday yet?" Asked your brother. Your smile turned into a frown and your mom looked towards you. "I'm really sorry they couldn't be here honey...I'm sure they're thinking of you." She said softly.

You stabbed your fork into the eggs "yeah...sure they don't even remember I exist."
"Sweetie don't say that."
You pushed your plate away and stood up "I've lost my appetite"
"Honey..."
You paused at the bottom of the stairs "no Mom! I want my best friends back! Just shut the hell up!" You covered your mouth going over what you just said and turned around, your moms face turned pink and her eyes started to water, your brothers mouth was wide open and your dad even took out his ear piece.

You turned towards your dad "you don't even pay attention to us anymore...and by the way your fucking breakfast sucked ass." And you walked up the stairs and locked your bedroom door. You sat on your bed thinking about the twins. You felt your face getting hot and tears forming in your eyes, don't cry y/n, do not fucking cry! You thought.

But you couldn't help it, the tears flowed down your cheeks and you sobbed into your pillow falling asleep.

******A few hours later******
When you fell asleep your phone was dry but when you woke up tons of notifications filled your phone saying happy birthday but none from the twins. You sighed and stared up at the ceiling.

******Ethans POV******
Me and Grayson were getting ready to board the plane getting ready to fly to New Jersey to surprise y/n.

*all passengers to New Jersey please board in 5 minutes or the plane WILL leave without you*

We boarded the plane and I got the window seat, Gray was in the middle and some dude on the end. "Dude I'm so freakin excited to see her." I told gray when we started to take off. "I wonder how much she's changed..." Gray asked. I shrugged and dozed off.

Gray woke me up when we landed, we walked off the plane and took in a breath of jersey air. "It's the same as when we left." Gray said. We got through the airport and got an Uber to take us to y/n's house.

You got out of bed and walked downstairs with some sweats and a bra cause why not?Everyone was gone for the day. You looked at the clock it read 12:36 pm, you decided to make some lunch. You put on some music and cooked up something, you were just sitting down when you heard a knock on the door.
